Be it games, systems, or accessories in one transaction what was the most money you ever spent at once?

well, I spent around 600 dollars on my PC initially. I bought a wii, which was 250. The most I've spent on a game was the Skyrim collectors edition and the entire thing was worth it. That art book is awesome, and the statue is amazing.

I'd have to say it was when I bought all the parts to my own computer 2 years ago. It cost about 12 000sek (Swedish Krona) wich is approximatly $1700.

Steel Battalion... I regret it. But it was awesome when I had it all shiny and new. The controller does not collect dust well.

Buying my friends old computer for $700 years ago, then building my own for about 500 bucks this year. Had to get me one of those newfangled Ivy bridges.

700$ My pc. -most expensive
50$- Ghost Recon Future Soldier, most costly.
Terrible on PC, just more proof that ubisoft needs to learn how to make graphics options, and windowed mode.

I'm not gonna count my PC since I don't like saying how much that cost:

Over £150

I think probably spending £1200 on a gaming rig a few years back. Platforms aside, I spent £50 I think on the Fallout 3 box set (the one with the metal lunchbox and bobble head toy).

Wow, what great timing. I have the perfect response for this thread!

Just this past Friday, I purchased the Limited Edition Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 Bundle for myself, as I desparately needed an upgrade from my first-generation Xbox 360. Being that it has the largest hard drive on the market for Xbox 360's right now, as well as the custom finish of the console and the controller, I paid upwards of $500 for the entire package (if I include the hard drive transfer cable, a game, and 1600 MSP). I haven't spent that much money on anything in my life.

Do I regret my purchase? Nope, as I have a gold-plated controller, a 360 that makes R2D2 sounds when I turn it on/off or open/close the disc tray, and a 320 gigabyte hard drive built into it. I am very happy. :D

Does 5 years and two expansions of WoW count as a single purchase?

Starcraft 2 probably. $70 I think? Worth every penny though.

In order of most expensive game related purchase-

Est £550 on my new pc (I pretty much played my games on the pc these days due to the Wii suck now.)

Over £200 for the Wii with extra controllers, nun chunk and LoZ Twlight Princess.

Est over £100 for the Nintendo DS with Pokemon Diamond and a DS Case bundle (HMV offer).

£60 Monster Hunter Tri Limited Edition (with that figure, Wii speak and Classic Controller pro).

£50 Alone in the Dark Limited Edition (big mistake).

Easily my 4 player (plus trackball) MAME Cabinet that came with a 37" LCD monitor. Sure it cost an arm and a leg but dammit if it isn't awesome! It cost me just a hair over $4000.00 delivered. After that would probably be my Attack From Mars pinball table I bought and refurbished that cost me around $2000.00 all totaled.

My PS3 for $250 and a $30 game. I'm such a huge spender. Without counting systems I'd say when I preordered Xenoblade Chronicles and DMCHD since I paid them both off at the same time, it was a whopping $90 for two new games.

Probably my first 360, however much that cost at launch. It was a Christmas present though so maybe that doesn't count.

So £45 for Game's inflated game prices. Thinking of buying a PSP for £65 off Amazon though. Want to play P3P since it's apparently Persona 3 done right.

Oh and my laptop for like £290 not that I count that as gaming machine in any shape or form. PC's are damn expensive... Basically if it's in triple digits and doesn't start with 1 or a 2 gtfo.

Cheapest PC + monitor combo I could find was £425. Can't be bothered to do the maths but that's like 50 billion full price games wasted on one PC. Give or take XP

Before you go "lol get a graphics card" my former PC is so royally fucked you could never repair it without it going over the cost of brand new PC. The monitor is broken as well.

Consoles and such aside, I recently purchased an arcade stick which I consider noteworthy since it was a pretty frivolous purchase.

I bought the ME2 CE in a Belgian store that didn't have any pre-order bonuses, so instead they offered the CE for the same price as the standard edition. Needless to say, you had to order a copy very quickly, but I got one.
