Saint's Row 1 & 2, are ones I'm proud of in particular. I was hyped for 1, even.
From last year, specifically, with a few others mixed in:
Mass Effect 2...Halo: Reach...Pokemon: Heart Gold & Soul Silver... Ace Attorney Investigations...Assassin's Creed 1, 2, and 3...Fable 2 & 3...Fallout 3 & New Vegas...Bayonetta...Vanquish.

Due to the shithole where I live, I cannot buy anything until at least 2 weeks after it comes out without getting someone to pick it up for me.

Alpha Protocol. I highly enjoyed the game. I have also bought Kingdom Hearts: Recoded and Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days on the day they came out.
I generally do not get games right away but I still generally buy new.

My parents bought Pac-Man for the Atari 2600 for my brother and I the day it came out. I remember running home from the bus stop after school to play it; the anticipation and excitement of that new game driving me home.
Then I remember thinking "Damn, I ran home for this?" afterwards.
I've pretty much avoided first day release excitement since then.

Age of Mythology: The Titans Expansion, Half-life 2 Episode 1, Half-Life 2 Episode 2, Mass Effect 2, Black & White Creature Isle, Killzone, Killzone 2, FarCry 2 (to my regret), Infamous, Heavy Rain, Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2. Nothing ever, I have always waited until at least the first price drop. This will soon change as I will get The Witcher 2 on release day, why this change I loved the first game and cdprojekt have as the first game company ever earn enough trust from me to allow this.
