I like Stevie Nicks more than Fleetwood Mac. I am not explicitly familiar with Brand New, but I do know some of their stuff, and I do like stuff like them (the first song I looked up reminded me of Taking Back Sunday). Dont know the third one.

I like a vast range of music. Unless you only like pop, rap, or metal that is just yelling and no singing, we can find common musical grounds.
Brand new started very pop punk/emo then their sound changed massively. Ive not heard anything after their 3rd album but I like everything Ive heard. And TBS are a real favourite of mine.

I recommend looking up sic transit gloria or the quiet things. Both amazing brand new tracks. I keep meaning to get their new album.

I like varied music. Rock, pop, metal, hardcore and its varients, hiphop, dance. I play bass so I like anything with a good bass line really.

So I have some overlap with most people.

The Brand New album is rather fantastic. The only nitpick being the 2nd track, while not bad itself feels out of place in the album.
The second and tenth tracks both sound like pretty explicit callbacks to their older work that wouldn't be out of place actually being on Deja Entendu to me, while the rest of the album seems kinda like a culmination of everything they've done on Deja, The Devil and God, and Daisy.
I agree for the most part. The 2nd track stands out to me a lot because I found transition from 1st to 2nd track jarring. I found myself asking "Is this the same album"?

REALLY late to the party as regards to Beefheart, but I really like his jazz and blues take, and I'm not really a fan of either genre.
