Picture this scenario. You go to bed like you do every night. You wake up and find that everyone in the house has died in their sleep. By this stage your panicking and try to phone for emergency services. There's no answer! You walk outside and find cars stopped on the sides of the road and crashed into trees, many with their engines still running. The drivers of the cars are slumped over their steering wheels. Even your beloved pet(/s) is dead. What are you going to do next? Are you going to try and secure weapons? What about supplies? What about the Power, Water, and Gas? Would you travel or bunker down?
- We will say that the cause of death is unknown. But everyone did die at the same time.
- There could be other survivors out there but you don't know the specifics. In the first 15 minutes in the above scenario, you find everyone dead. That doesn't necessarily mean everyone on Earth is dead. But they could be.
- There are no zombies, diseases, or even wild animals to worry about.
- If you intend on staying put, you may want to consider what industries are nearby. Some of them need to be running 24 hours a day, and without maintenance could spell disaster for the empty town.
- Both joke and serious answers are accepted. It's really up to you.
I forgot to add a section explaining what I thought about the mess. First I would go to the Police station or a gun store and stock up on weapons, combat shields, body armour and so on. Next stop would be the supermarket for all of the food that goes off quickly and also some bottled water (plenty of it). I would steal an awesome car and look for survivors. I would look for fireworks and use them in the centre of my local city. Failing this, I would gather Gas, Petrol, and generators and choose a new dwelling conveniently located near a warehouse of food and supplies. Eventually I would find a farm and attempt to live off the land.
