Got news for you: He was already here...
OT: If he were one of us, I imagine God would not want to be a part of this insanity that is called "life" at this moment...
BTW, I said this before in another thread and I'll repeat it here.
I have a view of "God" that probably very few people share and even fewer realize. It involves only a single word and the Greek adjective that it's derived from - no books, no buildings of worship, no limitations or restrictions of any kind. That word is enthusiasm. Its definition is simplistic: intense enjoyment, interest or approval. Now, the greek adjective that enthusiasm is derived from in entheos which, when literally translated, means "god within" or "having the god within". When you realize that both words are one and the same and, by logic, that means that their definitions are also the same.
When you put it in a math-like formula (intense enjoyment, interest or approval = god within), one might conclude that no external god(s) needs to be applied. The ending in Breath of Fire 4 said it best, "Humans can make as many gods as they want...or need." Combine this idea with the life lesson of the story of Jesus "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You" and I think that one might have a unique answer to the OP's question...
