Race barriers and religion

racism because its a poison that keeps us from uniting as a whole.

I know, thats 2. I'll just flip a coin on it
Did you just generalize all religious people as terrorists.
Yes, but not the suicide bombers the media has popularized. I view religious people as terrorists to themselves. Think about it, most religions teach there brainwashed followers they are fallen sinners that are unworthy of love and affection and are only redeemed through pledging allegiance to the prophet of there religion, while the religions that don't do that make you waste your life away with pointless prayer. In the end it still wastes your life.

We need to do away with beliefs that make you feel guilty for being human, that is the real terrorism.
How long has it been since you've been to a religious service? First off your generalizing all religion to be Abrahamic, animist and many polytheists don't have a specific prophet(usually) and don't necessarily pray all that much.
Secondly, why do you completely forget the other parts of religion other than devotion, like help the poor, meek, etc. in the Christian faith, or how Islam united separate clans into a sprawling empire that promoted intellectual discovery and trade in the Classical per'iod (using Abrahamic because I know about these more.) "Wasting life with pointless prayer..... WE'RE VIDEO GAMERS we waste our time and life too in pursuit of entertainment or the next level. Your making assumption and generalizations about a group that you are no part of! The only religious people you wish to see are the outspoken crazy one! What about organizations like the Red Cross, or Christian Church groups who organize charities to give to various countries in need? Is that terrorism? Many Christian Churches I've been to are merely congregation points for believers to spread the word, learn about what the(primarily new testament) scripture and help the needy, you know like what Jesus preached. It's not terrorism to themselves, especially when many times a religious experience can drive them to become a better person as a whole. I know it's predominantly Christian oriented, but that is what I know.

You know I don't hate atheist, at least not by default, but that is really hard to do on this site when many atheists here also have some weird Vendetta against religon. I ask you to respect my beliefs(whether or not you think I'm "Brainwashed" doesn't matter), and I'll respect yours).

Now on to the real topic, removing an aspect of Mankind is a tricky subject, your bound to want to remove something that may have some unintended consequences and make the end result not quite human any more, so with that in mind I would like to remove the lapses in common sense people tend to have. I know many of us probably had an error in judgement in the past that they would like to take back, I don't think much humanity would disappear if we had fewer Darwin Awards.
Have you been lurking here long? Sorry to say, when religion is involved here, it really is much better to let those against it to mouth themselves off. Let them have their opinion, I have not seen one change theirs in the time I've been here. Live and ignore.
(Really minor thing, might make me sound petty, but the few posts here bashing religion seem to have pretty bad spelling.)

OT: Get rid of procrastination, Just so I can actually get my work done without trying to rush and complete it in a day because "it totally slipped my mind" till the day it was due.

That or get rid of motivation and watch The Fall and the arrival of Nyx

Finger/toe nails. Is it just me, or do they not really have much of a purpose, other than something you have to maintain? I mean, yeah, you can pretty them up if you're into that sort of thing, but if you didn't have them in the first place then they wouldn't be so unsightly they'd need prettying up!

(Getting rid of stuff like greed, pride and deception? Seems like a good idea. Probably isn't. Greed got us decadent westerners a standard of living that most other nations envy, pride put a man on the moon, and white lies keep people happy. As for religion... well I won't claim it's inherently good, but it is just a facet of belief. Could you imagine if the entire species where nihilists? We'd never get anything done!)

I call dibs! Do they come with matching tails?
Of course they do! And also cat-like agility, the ability to fall from several stories and land on one's feet and not feel a thing, a craving for fish, and... anything I've missed out.

Oh! And the ability to purr! =^w^=

No greed is something that drives everyone. I go to work because I'm greedy for a new video game or the like. There has to be a better word for it...

Apathy.
Evil succeeds when good men do nothing.

I hate seeing adverts about people dying and me thinking to myself "WHY DON'T I CARE? DAMN IT!"

I would erase humanities fear of change.

I mean, at least then we would always be moving. Perhaps not always forward, but this was, if humanity fucks up, we will all stand united to fix it.

I'd reset pain to turn off after its not needed. Like say a guy hurts his back. PAIN. Lots of it, and rightfully so. The body telling him something's not right. Then the guy gets it fixed through surgery. No more danger, yet the pain remains. I'd simply set the human body to realize, on a case by case basis, when a certain pain isn't needed anymore. Then I could get away from lortab and soma, the two drugs that run my life. Yeah, the guy in the example is me. Sucks to still be in pain from an injury from twelve years ago.
Now that is a very good idea.

What's with all the misanthropes on here? Lighten up guys, seriously.

Anyways, I'd eliminate sociopathy. I don't think anyone would miss it.

This gentleman has the right idea. Don't treat the symptoms. Treat the cause.

I'll go with corruption. It screws up the political process quite a lot.
This is probably the one I can agree with the most. Recently Hollywood has been trying to buy the U.S. congress's favor by saying they will no longer be supporting(with money) candidates who voted against SOPA. That is basically saying that they already pay the politicians anyway.

Government should be for the people, not for corporations.

I think I'll add a vote for wilful ignorance. Most of the other things that are tempting to delete would have unintended consequences, but I don't see any problem with this. And as people become more educated, I believe it would eliminate a range of other things I'd like gone, like intolerance. See, it's a bargain!

I would get rid of our aggression. Our drive to things that can be perceived as wrong. It would solve ... all of the problems.

No-one would be aggressive to other races or genders or sexual orientation. We wouldn't have religious debates or arguements, but it would still be around. To fill the void people would start working together...

At least, I hope that's what would happen.

I'm going to have to go with this one. I work in a grocery store and can't agree more.
Hello fellow grocery storager!!
Yeah we do get quite a lot of that don't we -.-

I don't know what I would erase...
The need for food? maybe.
Also erase war, as in forever, no weapon will ever be able to kill another man. That'd be cool ^^

All you people trying to change things "for the better" would likely make things worse, just in a less noticeable way.

Personally? I'd remove... hmm, what's the word? I want to say altruism, but that's not quite it. Perhaps just a part of altruism- "the feeling that we know what is best for others".

People are still perfectly willing to help when asked. However, under no circumstances will a person feel the need to "Help" someone in a way that person doesn't approve of.

In other words, you keep religion, but remove proselytism. You keep the madmen of the world, but you force them to realize what they are doing is wrong. You keep the desire to help people, but that desire is hidden until you are directly asked to do so.

Would it solve all the world's problems? No. Worst case scenario (or best, depending on some viewpoints) is that it creates a highly individualistic society. That comes with it's own huge list of positives and negatives though. Still, that's not likely unless you remove the entire concept of altruism, which I am not suggesting.

Erase the need/desire to believe in a religious dogma.
I'm catholic and for once I am actually offended by someone on the escapist about it, thank you for completely being inconsiderate of your fellow man.

You realize that people who belove in something are not all crazy, right? I believe we as man can do many great things, for starters, let's make sure people stop bashing religion for no reason!

In reality, I'd go with our inability to see how everything works out, when we enact something we need to see how it affects everyone beforehand.
