For example you did something very awesome and useful for your city\country whatever and you receive a monthly income in form of an average salary. So u have internet,TV,magazines, maybe some daily exercise, socializing, hobbies etc.Could you live happily your whole life like that( or most of it at least) without getting bored or feeling like your life has no point?

Yes. I am unemployed right now on account that I am a student, and I think that if I didn't have financial troubles when I get older, that I could very well live long and happy.

yup.

I think I could quite happily live with no real 'work' but not having a job would severely limit my social life.

Oh well, I always have you guys... right?

You mean welfare?

No.

I was brought up this way: The worst possible thing you can do is not carry your own weight. Your problems are your own, and if anything, you should be carrying the weight of the problems of those who you care for.

EDIT: For the reason, I practically sprinted out the door when I finished high school, and instead of going to college and making MORE money then I do now sitting around doing nothing but churning through classes I already know, I'm joining the work force.

I'd adopt the lifestyle of one of those old-style rich polymaths who often, after amassing or inheriting a fortune large enough to live on, diverted their life to studying things and generally getting shit done like you wouldn't believe.

I kinda did that during the time I finished college until I got a job (that took a while couldn't find any openings that my A-levels could use and I was crap at interviews) and tbh I did start getting bored during the day.

That'd bore the shit out of me. But financial security would allow some freedom in what I could do to keep 'entertained'. And by that I mean it'd open up the time and opportunity to do volunteer/charity work.

No, I like working, it makes me feel useful.
Plus I get bored easily. I don't agree either with having everything spoon-fed to me.

Live an eternal summer vacation, eh?

As it happens, I have a summer job I like so much I'd do it for free. I'd probably spend time working jobs like that, as well as using my extra spare time to read piles of books, spend lots of times with my friends, and play a bunch of video games.

I can't believe people would get bored in that situation. I'd be out there exploring the world, visiting everywhere, doing everything. Who the hell would sit at home?

You only get an "average salary" to spend.

Assuming it's average for my town, I'd stay in school as a hobby. If it was average for the country I'd probably find some job for supplemental income.

You don't need a lot of money to go places. The most important thing about this is no responsibility. I could easily pick up small jobs while I was travelling the world.

I'd start playing my guitar 14 hours a day, and become a motherfuckin' rockstar!

Like right now I game, do art, and watch movies

I might go out and buy another game or see a movie if I get out of the house (it depends on money) Socializing isnt my strong point

I definetly need a job, because without one...well Im just a slacker, and my parents feel the need to "give me somthing to do" like If im not occupied by some "task" then I just sit in front of a wall and stare.... what I mean is I prefer to draw the line "work time" is "work time" and sure Ill do what ever you ask me but stay the hell out of my leisure time, I dont need to be given some pointless crap "to do" unless Im getting paid (or Im at home and pullling my weight of coarse)
