I don't really like like Empire: Total War. I decided to be different and do the Marath... Marathatha... The Indian folk. I single handedly wiped out Islam and was on my way to wiping out Orthadox Christianity. You know when you turn Afghanistan from 100% Islam to 100% Hinduism you're good.

But I conquered more than 40 regions with basically 4 groups of line infantry and a general to an army. If I was feeling nervous, I'd give them cavalry too. It was blitheringly simple.
Try taking it off easy difficulty :D

The AI actually starts using armies bigger than 500 people, and it actually becomes a challenge. But whatever, I fucking love it, to each his own.
I think the game's pretty darn good, but there's no doubting for me that this is the easiest Total War game to date. At first I had a few problems because there was just so much going on that I didn't understand/could be arsed to follow, but once you start making embarrassingly large sums of cash it just becomes a walkover. In my current game as Sweden (playing on VH/VH), I am just going round wiping out the major factions in single turns - knocked out Spain, the Netherlands and the British all without them being able to attack me back. Prussia's next, leaving only the Maratha Confederacy still standing.

Prime minister? President? noes. They cant do anything they want. Their word is not law. An Emperor's word however...

Thats why I chose the word emperor, you could say dictator too, pretty similar. My point being, if you had unlimited power and your people did exactly as they were told, what should you do, what countries would you own etc. Last time I checked, Prime Ministers cant do most of the shit people here are suggesting, at least not by themselves.

Probably came across as an asshole there, sorry if I did, but when I choose a word i do it for a reason :p

Yeah, I agree that towards the later stages of the game it does get rather easy I'm playing as the Prussians in the 1780s at the moment, and I'm steamrollering through Russia with little difficulty (however, I'm not playing on max difficulty. But for me, seeing as I rarely play games such as Empire, theres a lot to get the hang of which is probably why I find it harder than most to begin with. :p

And yeah, the amounts of money you make once your Empire is underway are truly crazy, but hey, that is the whole point of having an Empire is it not? :p

Oh , Emperor, eh ?

I mean, if I went around saying I was an Emperess, just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away...
Say what?
That person is annoyingly quoting Monty Python and the Holy Grail (or rather paraphrasing). It's because of people incessantly quoting that film that I now hate it and can't stand to watch it

Ok, don't jump on your horses, it was just a funny line that came to mind for some reason :)
it wasn't that funny to begin with, and it's even less funny when people who are NOT Monty Python do it
OK, relax, I'm not going into this.
Matter of opinions, funny to me, not to you - you made your point quite clearly already. There's no need to blow it out of proportion... :/

haha good old monty python! though watching the film not even an hour ago gives me the odd sense of deja vu. Although it took me a few seconds to get the reference what with it being slightly alterd XD
