Sorry to disappoint you buddy but if the animals and everyone suddenly disappears your dead within the year.
You'ld need at least animals to have a shot at survival.
If everything did disapper though hell, I finding myself a nice big city (maybe hit up New York) get a gun, find some tobbacco and hopefully find a computer while staying close to a mall with a grocery store.
No one around to regulate electricity. Unless you learn how to do those things (use disposable batteries or hotwire private sources) you'll be in the dark and freezing during the winter times.
Animals will likely wander into residential zones due to lack of smell and sounds of humanity and you'll eventually get attacked by wild animals (like a bear).
If you need medical attention, you are DEAD. Just a matter of time before a hungry animal wants an easy meal (you) and a gun won't keep you uneaten forever.
My first goal would be to break into a medical center to get me some powerful medications and adopt a dog for companionship.
A rifle would prove useful probably. I'd carry one of those around. Perishable food items would quickly rot after unattended areas lost power.
A person without other people around them would soon find themselves going 'wild' and lose all social graces and atrophy their abilities 'normal' behavior. It may be interesting to see a perfectly "human" human behaving entirely on instincts.
Things which require maintenance should be avoided so learning to read maps and tour guide information might be good ideas.
Keep a journal too. You never know what/who might find it when your gone.
P.S. I'd break into peoples homes and look through their things like a pervert because nothing's there to stop me.
