What is a game series you wish would just die already?

Just ranting, probably would of been best if I would of just kept that to myself , if i'm able to close this thread I would, but I don't know how, or if I even can.

Zelda games on the DS. I personally loved wind waker but all these ones on the DS that require drawing crap on the screen and yelling at it to solve a puzzle, yeah, when I'm on a bus or something I hate it when I can't continue the game because im not going to go and yell 'HEY!!!!'

While I tend to agree with most of the posters (just don't buy what you don't like.) I do have one that I really wish would just die. Final Fantasy was groundbreaking on the old NES. Final Fantasy 2/4 was the highpoint of the series. 3/6 was good. 7 is where it all became shit. Granted, I'm not looking to do much about it, but I have to admit to a visceral response to the continued evisceration of such a great name.

Most game series need to stop and make room for new original games.

So... that means no Episode 3 and no Gears of War 3? Their predecessors both ended on cliffhangers and I really need to know what happens.

As much as I hate to say it, Guitar Hero needs to end. I like the Guitar Hero games. They're fun and addicting. But now, there's so many of them. People are tired of seeing Guitar Hero games.

I can't say that there is any series that I wish would just go away. Mainly due to the fact that I am not forced to play games I am not interested in. So if another sequel comes out to some game, if I don't want to play it. .. . . I don't.

CoD. The name needs to die. MW2 was going to be called Modern Warfare 2, but then they decided they needed to slap CoD on the title. Personally, I want the Modern Warfare series to be a separate series, and keep the WWII stuff in the CoD series.

And then, when we put all the WWII stuff in CoD, we get rid of it, so we can finally stop playing copypasta WWII shooters.
