Yeah, sorry for not being more clear. We get the imperfect version of love. But at the same time I think we should aim for the perfect one.

and on a toally different yet related subject, the one guy who said "'tis better to have loved and lost than to have never of loved at all" had no fucking clue what he was saying becauseyes it's better to have loved and lost, but Loosing love still sucks cause even though you know it's gone you still feel it, but now no one is around to return the feelings so you just end up feeling like shit.

Honestly? One of the great sorrows of my life is that I feel negative emotions very strongly but seem to have the positive ones dulled or missing. I am not totally sociopathic, but have severe emotional problems which I grapple with constantly which have gotten better and worse at various times in my life but seem to be in a downward spiral (as I've mentioned before).

All I can say is that it's disturbing to realize you don't think you can speak on a subject like this.

I consider it to be a chemical reaction due to your body's acceptance of another's gene for mating. Incredible. You sir, are the first person, except myself, who I have heard say that. I do agree that hate is not the opposite of love, but rather love gone sour. Because when you hate someone, you still care about what that person is doing, you are just being negative about it instead of positive.

Hmmm, are we speaking about the same things? I might misunderstand, but what I deduce from your post is that you think I speak of apathy and hate as similar?

No, I do not say that. I say that love and hate is not neccessarily opposites, but rather two versions of the same feeling of obsession. It's just that love tend to be more of a positive obsession, while hate is when you are obsessed but negativly biased against the person/thing/etc.

Apathy is thus the opposite, as I see it, as apathy makes you not care about anything, whereas hate/love makes you care infinitly about something/everything.

That is my view of it, based on my own experiences. (And believe me, I have been through some tough shit, too.) If you have anythong to add, please do so.
