This might not end well for your thread.
Isnt it funny that whenever someone says that warning nothing ever does happen? Its an odd pattern

Goldeneye. I got more joy out of that game for years than I have any other FPS, hence why it gets my vote.

I'm not sure, I haven't played a lot. So for now I'm going to say System Shock 2. But Doom 3 comes close because of the carnage.

Natural Selection would be mine, something different than the usual FPS.

Multiplayer: probably Battlefield 2 or 2142 on PC
Single Player: either Half Life 2 or Rainbow Six Vegas (first one cuz I barely got to play the second prior to my brother getting rid of it)

For multiplayer it's COD4 and Goldeneye using splitscreen though COD5 is growing on me. Singleplayer Half Life 2 is the business though Halo and Halo 3 deserve honourable mentions.

Half Life set the bar for me, but i've gotten alot of enjoyment from cod4 multiplayer and the original halo multiplayer back in the day.
(suprised no one has said Counterstrike)

DooM all the way well DooM 1, DooM 2 and DooM Evolution not doom3 never doom3, COD4 was pretty good to, but I doubt it will stand the test of time like DooM.

Gah, so many choices!
Half-Life (and all its children), Bioshock, CoD4, TF2, L4D, the list goes on. Basically, anything from Valve or Infinity Ward.
