When Willard emerges from the water...
Almost all of Hell in the Pacific...
Indie shoots the sword guy...
Walker walks down the corridor, footsteps echoing...
The girl in the Red Coat...
The Star Destroyer looms overhead...
Rocky runs the steps...
The end of The Thing...

... these are just the first few I thought of.

Or the first 20 minutes of Once Upon a Time in the West.
Oh Hell yes, waiting for the train...

I'd have to say the scene from the Big Lebowski after Larry Sellers' house, when they're driving home. That's the one that came to my mind after reading the title of the thread. Another one from a Coen Brothers film is the scene in Burn After Reading after Brad Pitt rented the suit for a stakeout.

Another one that comes to mind (but it's been a while since I've seen it) is the final gun-fight at the climax of Leon: The Professional. I'm sorry that I can't put the little accent line on the letter 'e' in "Leon" but I hope that clarification makes up for it. I also apologize that this one is a fight sequence, but I felt like it deserved mention.

Lots of great posts in this thread! I'd have to say this thread reminded me why I like some directors. Chan Park Wook's work is amazing, even if some endings felt forced beyond suspension of disbelief.

Though, I'd contend that the best one I can think of, that isn't depressing would be the scene when Butch returns to get his Father's watch from his apartment in Pulp Fiction.

To me, it boils down to three movies..

Pulp Fiction

When Butch kills Vincent when looking he's for his watch

Up

You know the scene I'm talking about. You'd have to have a heart of stone not tear up.

However, The grand champion;

EVERYTHING out of WALL E

The whole movie is a (mostly) mute masterpiece! Every scene is packed with so much emotion you'd swear the Pixar team are really just an ancient guild of wizards!
