Shaun of the dead, not intentionally following the flock but it is a really good film.

By far: 28 Days Later. I'm still hoping they will ever make a 28 Years Later movie.

shaun of the dead, then 28 days, BTW why is cabin fever on that viru film list, it was awful
I didn't think Cabin Fever was THAT bad. It certainly wasn't original but it had some memorable scenes, ie. Shaving your leg?

Personally, I would have to say that 28 Days Later is one of the best "zombie" movies ever made. Also Shaun of the Dead is probably the funniest zombie movie.

Shaun of the Dead and 28 days/weeks later
They weren't zombies! They weren't even dead! They were just infected with rage, hence the biohazard sign on the cover/poster. 28 Days Later is not a zombie movie! Shaun of the Dead was awesome though, no comments on that.

I really don't know what the best zombie movie ever made is, but I can tell you that the one I enjoy most would have to be Return of the Living Dead. It is just a really fun movie. "Send...more...paramedics!" Makes me laugh every time.

Dawn of the Dead, The original, not the remake that was butchered by Zach Snyder.
I actualy like the remake alot, and yes I know i will be flamed for saying that. Shawn of the Dead was good and the new movie Zombieland coming out in october looks good to.

Nah, your opinion is certainly welcome.
Like I said earlier: It's biggest flaw is it's association with a classic movie.

I know they weren't zombies, but I would still consider it a "zombie" movie

Here are some of my favourites:

*Dead Meat (official Irish Film Board movie, cows, social commentary, awesome)

*Brain Dead (aka Dead Alive, Peter Jackson before LotR, zombie baby, "I kick ass for the Lord!")

*Dawn of the Dead (the remake, just as good as original IMO, plus Jay Leno and Zombie Baby #2!)

*Day of The Dead (Romero's version from '85. Bub! That's the dude in Kpt._Rob's avatar. Best zombie actor EVER)

*Return of the Living Dead part II (the War on Drugs spawns Zombies!)

On the more serious note I recommend "Rec". I haven't seen the American remake, but it does feature some of the same cast.

Definitely Planet Terror. I mean it! It was so ridiculously over the top... so bad it was spectacular!

In terms of actually being a good movie though, I really enjoyed 28 Days Later... its too bad 28 Weeks Later was completely awful and made me yell at the screen on more than one occasion due to its utter and complete stupidity.

If they weren't zombies how can you consider it a zombie film?
