Speaking only of places I've been to a few spring to mind, mainly places in Rome (ossuaries and catacombs) but they're more grim than creepy.

No the creepiest place I've ever been to was in Cornwall believe it or not. There was a tourist atttraction which was the house of a Victorian gentleman who collected collections and then filled his house with oddities. It was just a weird place.

I'd say Palermo

The real horror there is of course the narrator's voice in between.

OT: ever heard of "body farms"? Basically it's Aokigahara but done on purpose to study body decay.

The Red Forest and by extension, Chernobyl. Do some research, the place is creepy!

EDIT: Sorry, didn't mean Chernobyl, meant more specifically Prypiat.

Aokigahara Forest or The Overtoun Bridge. ... ... ... ... I'd also be inclined to say that creepy old house that was up the road from my parents house, and my mum always wanted to go up there to push their post in properly (probably because the postman was too scared to be there long enough to do it himself), but it was demolished thank God.

Old houses that have been left to decay have always freaked me out though.

This is going to sound very tame, but... the bakery, on the street I passed on the way to high school.

What do you expect when you go to a bakery? Fresh selection of different pastries, maybe some hard workers kneading dough or popping it into ovens, an overhead tune tinkling out like shopping music overhead, maybe the local radio station?

This one was different. Not different enough that you could walk in and find out it was a slaughterhouse or anything that drastic, just... off, just enough to tell that something felt wrong.

There was no music. The lighting was poor. The place smelled of old people, and the sparse amount of food lining the shelves all looked like it had gone stale from being left out for ages. The workers were almost all ancient, and looked well advanced into their old age. Worst of all... they all looked absolutely miserable. Slow, tired, bored, solemn, just miserable. It was a shop that was dying, along with everyone inside it.

I don't go there anymore... though I hear it made some of the best chocolate-covered donuts in the city.

Pripyat, Ukraine.
Maybe I've been playing too much STALKER, but this isolated little town, totaly devoid of human life (as your slowly eaten inside out by radiation) strikes me as more than creepy.

West Virgina. where the legal age of consent is 100lbs. Thats right, if you can find yourself a really fat two year old that likes to say yes alot then your in the clear.

Disclaimer: this is actually one of those old law rumors that may or may not exist and hasn't been enforced in decades.
