People who play the 360 with it standing vertically as opposed to horizontally, I used to have it that way but putting discs in is much more fiddly and annoying than letting gravity put it in it's place and I have a feeling it assisted in the RROD. Oh and pushing on the cd tray to help it go in as opposed to simply pressing the button, yeah, small but annoying.

My friends little brother tried to use her PS2 as a stepping stool so he could reach something on the top of the television but he slipped and landed on the open disc tray and wrecked it

I know a kid who poured water on a console to cool it down so it wouldn't overheat. Oh, the fun of water damage.

I also heard a story of a friend of mine as a kid playing pretend and using a PS1 (because of its lid) as a make-believe waffle iron. With real waffle mix.

I know right, Could have been a mac!

OT: My brother once pooped into his SNES. Never gave a reason as to why he decided to do that.

My mate's younger brother moved his console on it's side while the console was on with a game running. His Modern Warfare 2 disc got destroyed. He wasn't very amused... I was.

When on the happy end... he took apart his PS2 and tried to... fuse it with his computer to make a "Super-System". I could have stopped him, but he seemed to know what he was doing.

He still doesn't own another game system, ever since his mom found what was left of the PS2 scattered in a box when his brain went the other way 2 days later.
I see your friend doesn't have the skills and, err, "resourcefulness" of Paul.

It's not a console, but I saw a TV programme where they threw a PC off of a balcony 4 stories up just to see if it'd be cheaper to buy a new one or try and salvage it.

WHY?!
Not as bad as this one dude that called me for tech support

Dude: "Hey stephen? My computers cup-holder broke"
Me: "What? cup-holder WHAT?!"
Dude: "Yeah you know, you press that button and the cup holder pops out? I put my coke in it and the thing broke off the cheap POS"
Me "Uhh..."
Dude: "So do you think I can get a refund for my computer? I'm thinking of sueing staples for this for selling a faulty system"
Me: "You... thats... MY GOD MAN! HOW STUPID ARE YOU!? THAT'S A CD-ROM DRIVE NOT A CUP HOLDER! YOU PUT CD'S/VIDEOGAMES IN IT SO THE COMPUTER CAN READ THEM!!!"
Dude: "You don't need to be a dick about it! HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW! I'M NOT AN UBER GEEK LIKE YOU!"

(you can figure out the rest of the conversation)
You have just officially just won this thread.
I want to say congratulations, because that must take will power to go through an argument like that.

What kinds of people are your friends?

OT: I haven't seen anybody do anything bad, but I myself have done some things. I used to take the memory cards out of my Gamecube like it was nobody's business. I was convinced that the whole "can corrupt your save file" was a bunch of crap. I was wrong. Luckily, it happened on a small memory card, so there weren't too many game saves on it that were corrupted.

Went to some crazy new neighbors house before, Indian family, nice people, but bat shit insane. They had a ps1 in their wall, I didn't go back after that, and I sure as hell wasn't letting them near my ps2. They had pretty bad rage problems. The told me the games consoles through the walls thing was pretty minor. Ah good times.

Interestingly enough, something like 250,000 rounds of ammo are fired for every 1 person killed in Afghanistan. So, although it would seem like a waste of ammo, they would have just "wasted" it anyway, only instead of hitting something awesome like a 360, they just would have hit a bunch of rocks and sand (or maybe even innocent civilians....who knows, perhaps that 360 saved somebody's life).

But yeah, the soldiers unloading on the 360 gets my vote. That was sweet.

He's an idiot..
Well it does, kind of. You just can't leave the room you're in, or hear any music, or interact with objects. Just wander around. It works on all the games I have, and is the most fun on shadow of the colossus.

2 words.

Tray bacon.

A friend of mine lost a bet, and I got to watch him stuff bacon into the tray of his old PS2.

Not an expensive thing to replace, but still...

This guy I know picked up his 360 while it was on. That disc never worked correctly again.
