I can't pick just one, so I'm going to say the following cartoons:

Sonic SatAM
Duck Tales
TMNT (Original, because Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince of Bel-air did the voice of Shedder )
G.I. Joe
Cowboy Beebop

Good times.

Dear god, i didnt realize the damage CARTOON NETWORK had done to this generation till now, how in hell people can say absolute garbage like sponge bob, edd edd eddy, megas xlr, courage, powerpuff girls, and i lost count how much trash passed up as cartoons during the 90s, i could half agree to samurai jack, avatar, even south park, and the simpsons, but still dont count them as great, i grew up on anime on a local chanel and a cable chanel called animax, if you ask me about great series ill say, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, Lodoss War, and thats just the ones i saw growing up, a lot of the more recent ones are incredibli good even tough im an adult now, like Bakemonogatari, Gurren Lagann, Fate Stay Night, Black Lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate, Kimi ni Todoke, Skip Beat, just to name a few greats ive seen in the last few years

Adventure Time. Not even Avatar (the cartoon, not the overrated movie) can beat it, and that's saying something.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Obviously.
Yeah. I honestly can't think of a better one.

I think it's because it's the closest to an anime out of all the cartoons.

Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy is just there in sheer terms of how fun it all is.

Of course, Courage The Cowardly Dog is there for the intelligent side of cartoons and not forgetting Samurai Jack on the action-filled violent-whilst-not-being-violent side of things.

So, I suppose it depends what you're looking for.

Simply put, I love the show - Horror, comedy, as well as being a massive nostalgia thing for me. No regrets with this one.
LOVE that show. I was actually fortunate enough to meet John Dilworth, the creator. He wears funny clothes, has a weird hairstyle and I'm pretty sure he was baked.

If you've never seen his short film, The Dirdy Birdy, look it up right now.

OT: I don't think I have to tell you what my favorite cartoon is. :)

Dragon Ball Z

Why? Because i still enjoy watching it, and it's also the only anime i've ever liked

Holy shit, man. That's EXACTLY what I thought when I saw this thread.

Followed by Scooby Doo. No doubts there.

... yeah, I guess you win.

Also for your consideration: Batman Beyond, Johnny Bravo, and Samurai Jack.
