Spy's knife in TF2. You have to be about half a metre away from someone to even get a chance of an instakill. I laugh at people calling shotguns skillful, they don't have the prerequisite of having to get close enough to your mark to be able to smell the borscht on his breath. Amateurs.

The 'Kozlice' over/under shotgun in Operation Flashpoint.

Two shots per reload, heavy ammunition (so you can't carry much in total), relatively low damage, and poor accuracy at range, it is by far the worst weapon in the game. Anyone who can use that to kill a properly armed opponent has skills.

The Auger in Resistance: Fall of Man. Sure it can shoot through walls but its rate of fire made it crap for 1-on-1 confrontation. Skilled players can still tear you apart with it though.

Pity they increased the rate of fire for Resistance 2; it's much easier to use.
idk about that I tore shit up in resistance one online with an auger you just need to use it at the right time.
That's make you a skilled player with it then ;)

The rail gun in Red Faction. It took forever to get the timing down to kill someone on the other side of the map.

BFG! ha ha

seriously, consistent headshots with a no-scoped sniper rifle is in my mind the least n00b-y way to kill everyone

or the railgun in Quake 2, the reload time an low ammo means that missing simply must not happen an if it does your screwed, if you have a crippling fear of switchin weapons mid-firefight

I've always thought the Desert Combat Apache was pretty un nooby, or the A10. A skilful A10 Pilot could take down those flying in the fighters, even in dog fights.
I was only thinking of small arms, but now that you mention aircraft you've reminded me.

The A10 in Operation Flashpoint definitely takes a lot of skill to fly effectively. Hitting enemy tanks from a mile away with the Mavericks is straightforward enough, but once those eight missiles are gone and you switch to the 30mm cannon, that's when things really get difficult. You have to -- first of all -- find targets visually and then keep in mind where they are so you can line them up for a strafing run from afar. Once you do (and assuming they haven't moved) you have to engage them, pull up before you crash into something, and evade enemy ground fire until you're out of range so you can come around for another run. It's difficult enough to do properly that I've seen people simply bail out of their A10s and join friendly forces on the ground as soon as they run out of Mavericks, because they consider that to be more worthwhile than engaging with the 30mm.

Butterfly knife in TF2... ok so I've been called a "spynoob" using it before and sure when against a crappy team you can mince through them with a cloak, stab, repeat strategy with metal nearby, but against a decent team, with pyros around and particularily on arena maps it can be very very hard to pull off. I've given out many a frustrated facestab while trying to get it right.

Any german made weapon in COD:WAW

But sticky grenades in halo are pro....so long as they are used that way
What? German made weapons are probably the most used in the game, particularly the MP40 and STG-44.
Ahh but why are they used?

The knife in Counter Strike, only 1 hit kill if u get them from behind.

The scout in Counter Strike, unless you get a head shot then they survive and you probably won't get a second shot. Similarly the sniper in Gears of War 2, in Gears 1 it was a bit overpowered downing someone in one shot.

Torque bow in Gears of War 1 and 2, takes a lot of skill to use especially if you use the arc to drop a bolt right next to someone.
By Counter strike I assume you mean team fortress two?
no i mean the scout sniper rifle in CS:S not the class of player in TF2
