I'm torn between Super Smash Bros and Prototype.

Smash Bros could have been soooo awesome, but poor gameplay mechanics and controls doomed it to mediocrity in my book.

Prototype is a lot of fun for about 20 minutes, but the poor stealth concept, lack of need for guns, and generic art style let me down.

Too Human, mobs took forever to die and i can't say it was very rewarding when you actually did kill the insane amount of them.
Not to mention the Valkyrie that ressurects you after you die, which took ages.

Mmm, disappointing games? Of late, I would say probably F.E.A.R 2. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, it just lacks the ability to hold my attention the same way that F.E.A.R did.

I can't rightly explain my draw to the first F.E.A.R over Project Origin, but I wasn't too enthralled and it seemed better in the teaser trailers and demo. But hey, it was cheap on Steam the weekend I bought it and the DLC.

GTA IV, it just didn't hold a candle to GTA Vice City or San Andreas. It had unlikable characters, a boring game world with no variety, poor humour (liberal bashing gets old fast) and a tiny amount of content on the talk shows, unlike VC and SA.
To be fair they did a good amount of bashing the right wing too... well, the Bush administration at least.
I would have to agree with you there.
As it was the first gta on the new consoles, I wasn't expecting anything as good as Vice or San Andreas, but I thought they could at least keep it up to par with gta3. Apparently that was too much to ask for.

They ditched most of the fun old activities and the ones that were left had really lame rewards. They do seem to want to bring back a few of the old goodies (satchel charges and an attack chopper that might actually hurt someone) but at this point I put in Saints Row 2 when I want some good old fashioned gta action.

I'm aware that someone is going to mention Halo 3 because hating Halo is 'in' right now so I thought I'd say right now that Halo 3 did not dissapoint me.
Uh.... but for me the singleplayer WAS really fucking disappointing...well, atleast the multiplayer made up for it..

SSB Brawl is just a sad sad game. Two years hype for this epic fighter to come to Australia and they got rid of all the best bits of the gameplay, tried to be positive but this is game is only good when you have friends over and it is shocking online.

C&C Tiberium Wars is probably worse since it was a down-grade from the last master piece Generals. Everything is worse in this game like the units get stuck on everything, the hero's are worthless and the super weapons are boring compared to the ones in Generals. What the hell were they thinking?
I loved generals i would've hoped that c&c3 would have compeled more love but it didn't.
still playable though

umm im not easily disappointed most of the games i buy oh wait HELLGATE LONDON total letdown just popped into my mind terrible terrible game

Mmmmmm, most disappointing game I bought would be Resident Evil 5. Reason? The first trailer of the game is actually better than the actual one. It had a lot of potential until the hot-spicy racism issue was involved and Capcom got scared so they added the needless multiplayer as their shield, downgrading the game in the process, and failed to shield the topic.

Star Fox Adventures. So much potential, so little good that came out of it...
I felt exactly the same way about Star Fox: Assault.

Last gen was not very good to the Star Fox franchise, which depressed me as gamer, as I love Star Fox 64.

Probably Killer 7. That game really sucked big time. A magazine I read praised it for it's "innovation and stylish graphics" saying it was a milestone in gaming. To me it was just a rail shooter, not very enjoyable at that. The concept was intresting, but when I realised that movement was "railed" I cried. I tried it anyway but three levels in or so I couldn't take it anymore. Worst buy

I was a little disappointed with Halo Wars, but I have to agree with the original poster. Resistance 2 was so much worse than 1. 1 was awesome!!!

1-Lair for the PS3 it SUCKED!
2-Resistance 2- it was sorta good, and the plot made sense, but it still didn't hold a candle to the story of the first one, in R2 they answered all the questions that should have remained close, and I like how they killed the main character, but Nathan Hale could have gone down fighting for the survival of humanity or something, not being shot in the head by Capelli

Why did ScarOfElement feel the need to necro a thread like this? This topic gets used at least once a week and it's all just people complaining about games they don't like. Shouldn't we know better than to raise threads that are absolutely nothing but flamebait?
