The orginal Killzone game was boring as hell. How you can make a war game boring? I now know.

Add a bunch of people with the same set of emotions as cardboard box. Take a third rate plot on top, finally add a bunch of enemies that look and sound the same with no real surprises in store.

Mix'em together and you get Killzone.

*Gag*

Devil May Cry 2. I'm a huge fan of all Capcom games especially the Resident Evil and Devil May Cry games but Devil May Cry 2 was just so... there is no word in the world to describe how bad it was.

I'm aware that someone is going to mention Halo 3 because hating Halo is 'in' right now so I thought I'd say right now that Halo 3 did not dissapoint me.

One game that did however... Half Life 2

Ok, first off all u seem very aware of a much of a hype fest halo is since u start defending before the flamin comes and by ur hl2 remark u reveal ur utter ignorance in games and should check up the definition of quality sumtime...

Frikkin shit-box noob
... it takes a certain level of skill to manage to mispell 'sometime' especially when accusing people of being stupid so yeah... congratulations. Also for god's sake spell 'you' as a word it's just two other letters... not hard. Finally no such word as 'frikkin' and I love that I'm being told I'm ignorant for liking something something I actually enjoyed and being dissapointed by a game that I did not enjoy as much, I assume I'm ignorant because I did not cater to your views of gaming nor do I just spend my time going on forums attacking everyone who thinks differently to me. So yeah.
I did not hate Half Life 2, there were some aspects that I liked, the characters and aliens for example. But when douchebags like oh say YOU come onto forums when I say I like Halo and telling me to play Half Life because it's 'great, awesome, divine, the reason for being and all creation' I expect something better. Not something with generic enemies, a muddy story, confusing navigation and a hell of a lot of hype. Hype that is these days equal to or greater than Halo's.
I like how just liking a game that I like somhow justifies calling me a 'Frikken shit-box noob'... legend. So you attack me for being a fanboy then end revealing not only are you a Valve Fanboy but that you are a Sony fanboy too. Nice.
Finally I did not defend Halo 3, I wasn't telling everyone they were wrong I was just giving a blanket statement that I did in fact LIKE the game. That's it.

So... hope you can be bothered to read all these big scary words hope I didn't scare you off by using full words and proper sentances. Also... Welcome to the Escapist.

Also... welcome to the escapist. Someone has to be the one to give a warm welcome and I guess that's gotta be me. We all drew straws and I got the short one so yeah.... Welcome to the Escapist I hope you like it here.
*Cough* fanboy *Cough*

Empire: Total War, for me, has been the worst game I have bought in three years. Yes I bought Halo 3, it was meh, but Empire bites the soggy biscuit.

I could never get into the Fable games... with Fable 2 I spent 30 minutes being a bartender and then went back to playing WoW. 8)
At least he has an opinion. :p
BURN!!!!
If playing games that I actually like and having fun makes me a fanboy then I'd rather be the fanboy who likes his games rather than the 'ultra cool elitist' who is playing this game just because 'the mainstream don't dig it'.
FWI: I was just saying I wasn't dissapointed by Halo 3 to get that mention out of the way and clear my concious.
Long post, I know, but props bro. You are the only person who ever intelligently responded to flaming in the history of history. Top shelf dude.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, I predicted early on that it wasn't going to be good and everyone I talked to said I was wrong. 6 months later and I rent the game to see if I was right, I was. Beat the game that same day and just said, "does LucasArts make it its' goal to taunt me?" Waste of money.

Fable 2, end of story.
I agree wholeheartedly, Fable 2 is the worst game i have ever bought.
About midway through the story i picked up the original and played it for a while just to calm myself down.
You better off playing Fable Lost Chapters

I agree that Resistance 2 was not all it was cracked up to be, at least single player wasn't. I didn't like the 2 gun limit and the no hud/healthbar. I think the original was a lot better.
Another disapointment was FC2, just didn't click with me. So I'm untrading my Oblivion for it 2morrow.

Thank you to Vrex360 for bashing whoever it is that was.
I was also very disappointed by Half Life 2. I'd heard so many great things about it so I finally went out and picked up the Orange Box only to be constantly let down by the boring, below average gameplay and relative lack of story.
I felt like it could have been amazing... back when it came out... if I was a huge PC gamer... and if nothing else had come out for a while and I was really bored.

I would really like for somebody to tell me the appeal of Half Life 2 though because I just didnt see it.
Because the game was well paced, with a mysterious yet intriguing story, excellent graphics and facial motions (for the time), good voice acting, with high production value. Most of the reasons that people dislike it are more matters of taste and opinion than the game's actual quality.

Anyways, I was rather disappointed by Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. It was rather awesome for the first few minutes and then... it fell flat on its face. And I had actually bought the hype, and thought that maybe the levels might be a bit more varied.

Devil May Cry 2. I thought "Hey the first one was nice so this should be better", and I was wrong.

The new Prince of Persia game. The wall-running was severely botched, it was more like a series of quick-time events than anything else. Plus, the combat was... just... lame. It didn't feel very good to me.

The story and the art-style were good, and that I'd heard from other sources - it was the actual gameplay that I was let down by. In a pretty big way.

every time a new sonic game comes out, it becomes the most disappointing game ever. I just want to see one last good sonic game before I die!

Might I suggest Sonic Rush for the DS? Very good. Keeps Sonic in 2-D where he belongs.

Okay, I'll give you that, but I want to see sonic success in 3-D with all my heart! I beat Sonic Rush, and Sonic Rush Adventure, but thanks for the advice! They are pretty good games!

Fable 2. Crysis I'm not counting, because I knew it was bad going in, and I only paid $5 (US) for it so I don't care. Fable 2, on the other hand, I paid my full retail $60 for... Such a shame. Luckily I was able to trade it for a copy of the new Call of Duty (via a trading website), which I enjoyed much more than Fable.

High speed doesn't handle 3 dimensions well. I'm afraid you might be disappointed.
