What is the most rediculous thing someone has said to you as a matter of fact about a video game...

"Sega's first game wass Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360."
As to the first, how can anyone not know that Sega used to make consoles?
I had to tell my little brothers this the other day. Kids these days have no idea about SEGA's past. Not knowing about Atari I can forgive, but the Dreamcast is only a decade old and its already forgotten!

Also, to add another story:

"Hey, if you wander around the Power Plant for ages in Pokemon Blue Pikablu (name given to Marill before he was officially named) will appear!"

or:

"Luigi is a secret character in Super Mario 64"

I never believed him, he was a very annoying friend.

"The Xbox 360 will always have better graphics than any PC!" Said by ignorant fanboy at lunch. I did a spit-take.

"Resident evil games always have a corridor filled with lasers that you have to avoid"
"Grand Theft Auto 3 is the first of the series"
"Fallout 3 is so fucking awesome and it is better than all the other ones"
"Call of Duty has crappy graphics so I dont play it"
"Fable 2 has so much more freedom than that shitty garrys mod!"

I have heard all of these from one person.
Ps. I fucking love garrys mod.

"The whole point of Garrysmod is to pose ragdolls"
That's my friend, who comes to my house to play G-Mod and pose ragdolls.

The Force Unleashed on Wii is so much better than for any 360 or PS3. I mean swinging the Wii remote like a lightsaber is so realistic. The ironic thing is, the same guy traded in his Wii copy for the 360 one, because the graphics were so bad. He then went back and complained about the controls.
My response: *Double facepalm

Lachlan - Reason: Of the video kind
Lachlan - Reason: The ones I normaly play
XoxLuLuxoX ....n: oh lachy
XoxLuLuxoX ....n: you should buy a ping pong table or sumthing
Lachlan - Reason: Why? I dont like pingpong...
Lachlan - Reason: Theres nothing wrong with videogames lu..
XoxLuLuxoX ....n: games do not offer action that requires independent thought or creativity

Lachlan - Reason: And pingpong does?
XoxLuLuxoX ....n: yes its a physcial activity
Lachlan - Reason: And its not the 80s anymore.. There are a tonne of games that are creative, and the wii is a hell of a workout

Why do they call it the PS3?
When you see it you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away
Um.... hmmm, well. Skkkkk, damn. Trying to deal with the problems of explaining this one... Okay, I got it, I think. Okay, 360 degrees is back where you started from. 180 degrees would be walking away. So you're saying they'd see a PS3 and then Piroette?

I don't quite see how a strip club is sexist.
"I swear, this game doesn't portray women purely as objects of sexual desire! Really!"
"Hey, bredren, what say we go take a look at some naked strippers?"

Has someone mentioned holding down "A+B" or some sort of varied combo in pokemon to increase the chance of catching them?
I still do that to this day! (Doing a replay of Blue Version.)

It's a hard habit it break. The one going around my school had Select involved a lot, along with A and B. L and R as soon as the Advance came out.

"When will people learn that you can't write books based on games like Lord of the Rings? This Tolkien fellow is retarded for thinking he could." (I then proceeded to punch this guy in the gut, and told him to go to a library for once in his life)
Tell him to check the front few pages.
Fellowship of the Ring: first published in July 1954

When describing Warfront: Turning Point to someone: "So, its an Age of Empires wannabe?"

It wasn't a habit. I thought it really worked.

I do remember my father trying to tell me that he believes that the CIA use Counter-Strike for strategic planning.

"Oh no, Osama can bunny hop! We're doomed!"
