Not quite a band-more a less a rapper-MF Doom, hes got the best rhymes in the game, but only those who really get into Hip-Hop know about him. Even though hes one of the best producers in the game.

Probably Boy Kill Boy. They were fucking AWESOME, hence the capitals. Their second album wasn't as good as the first though. Not many people know about them. Especially outside of the UK.

My band called Search Button.
With our debut EP, I'd Hit That, featuring songs such as Why (Didn't You Search?) and Repetition Hurts.

You'd all love it, guaranteed.
(Seriously, Ben Folds Five. Just look them up.)

The Grammar Kids by far; their songs would easily teach you how to spell underrated.

In the 60s, the Rolling Stones were thought of as cheap knockoffs of the Pretty Things, whom most people thought would be the next big thing. The Stones, however, got right into recording albums and the Pretty Things never got out of the club scene in time.

Sloan has been a great band for almost 20 years, and you almost never hear them on the radio in Canada. It's funny that they're quite a big deal in Japan though. Go figure...

Zebrahead, everybody I know seems to have heard of them, but not heard them. When they do they love em'.

Streetlight Manifesto as well. Again, everybody seems to have heard of them, but before listening to them they make there judgment and hate them because their ska. Then when they actually listen, they like them.

Imo it has to be Soul Coughing..... too bad Mike Doughty's heroin use at the time led to their break-up. If you've never heard of them you owe it to yourself to check them out!

Jonathan Coulton (the guy who wrote Still Alive for Portal) needs more attention the guy kicks serious musical ass.

Cap n'Jazz imo. they are kinda sloppy but there lyrics are great and if it wasn't for them there would be no promise ring.

Lou Reed and or Randy Newman.
neither of them are underrated, i mean randy newman sold millions of records and has won an oscar
lou reed is largely considered to be one of the greatest musicians of all time, not to mention how highly regarded the velvets are

Ahhh, but most people only know about "Little Criminals" and his pixar music. Alot of people ignore "Rednecks" or "Sail Away".

Lou Reed is regarded highly as a member of Velvet Underground, but most of my generation doesn't listen to his solo stuff at all.
