Go check out the clearance aisle in Target for games, then pick up a few used books for $1 apiece. Spend the rest on food/gas.

should have inb4'd that. But why not buy 2 $25 hooker boys and not have to sacrifice quality.
Odd, odd typo man :p

OT: I'd get a medium pizza w/ anchovies for around 8 dollars and spend the rest on either paying off my Dead Rising 2 preorder, or find a bunch of old used games that look interesting in the hopes of finding a gem.

66 boxes of chocolate fingers (plus .6 recurring)

or

90 bottles of Bud.

Or

around 25 tubes of Pringles.

Or

5 Warhammer 40k Ombnibus books.

Or 1 brand new game and some change, to be spent on any some of the above.

I can buy a few more season of "24" with that money. Probably about 2-3 seasons. Depending on where I can get the best deal. :D

I was going to say 20 McChicken sandwhiches, 20 McDoubles, 4 fries and a drink but damn...I like that idea...

although considering tax, I'd be better off with Taco Bell's chicken flatbread and, beefy-5-layer...

Like, half a new release game?
Oh, I know, I'd load up on three-to-four-ish Steam games. Le'see, I'd get Audiosurf, Recettear, uhm... And something else.

Alright some of you maybe big spenders and some of you may be big budgets. Hopefully this thread will take off with lots of different ideas.

Tell us what you think is the absolute most you can get out of $50, in your opinion. It isn't exactly about how much stuff you have after.

Rules:
- no investing, that's the easy way and has no discussion
- no buying something and then selling it, again too easy

I would buy a video game for $15, go to the arcade and spend $5 n quarters, and spend the rest on groceries.

Yes this is like that thread about the fiver.
Wait till one of the big holiday Steam Sales... oh boy, you'll get so much.

Or a $50 graphics card like the Radeon HD 4670 (or $20 more for far better 5670) for your desktop PC, likely remove the only bottleneck to playing Video games on your PC at better-than-console resolution. Cards like those are drop-in type, no power cables required, just slot in, plug in, install drives and you're ready to go.

Oh and if you don't want to spend any money you can also get a load of games for free on PC:

-Trackmania Nations Forever
-Alien Swarm (Steam)
-Area 51
-Sam & Max episode 4
-Abuse [http://news.bigdownload.com/2008/05/23/freeware-friday-abuse/]
-Half Life 2: Deathmatch
-Half-Life 2: Lost Coast
-Moonbase Alpha

Dozens of great games for about $6 to $10 each on GoodOldGames (www.gog.com) like Duke Nukem and Blood. Back to Steam, The Orange Box is an incredibly good deal even when not in a Sale Special.
