I named our team in a the university "What? Where? When?" games "Bleach" and we've been champions 3 times now and I have 3 diploma's for being part of team Bleach. Nobody else on the team has an idea why it's called that.

Probably have a serious discussion about Watchmen's Ozymandias' (can't believe I wrote that correctly on the first go) D&D alignment. I'm still convinced it's Chaotic Good, if an extreme version.

I had to do a presentation on friendship in my evolutionary psychology class. It was full of references to and screenshots of video games for illustration purposes, including, but not limited to, Dragon Age and Metal Gear Solid. Also, Vidkun Quisling, Thomas Edison and a T-Rex. It makes sense in context.

And before that I did a presentation on the effects of sexual abuse for another class. This one had screenshots from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Serenity and Monty Python's Holy Grail. Also, Nikola Tesla and a kitten. This, too, made sense in context. Well, except Tesla.

Edit: I also said something about "talking in red" to some colleagues once. And then I had to explain Umineko no naku koro ni to them. That was awkward.
But other than that I keep it to myself (and other similarly nerdy/geeky people).

... So Ig uess the worst one that failed was I referenced P2 Innocent Sin by saying, and i kid you not "you are my Maya Amano, and I'm your Tatsuya Suou, so lets make an Innocent Sin for some External Punishment". Amazingly the girl knew what i was talking about, and giggled before walking away. though I later asked her out like a normal person.

.... I know, its amazing I got rid of my V-Card. ...
Irresistible.

I'd have to say going to the London MCM Expo last saturday to be honest, yeah.
Oh, how was it? I kinda gave up on the London MCM a few years ago because it got dreadfully boring.

OT: Being a research scientist, my existence is a definition of 'geek' with capital letters (though having a pocket sized periodic table in my wallet epitomises that).

On the nerd side, two things come to mind:

The first time I played KotOR, I finished it in three marathon sessions. The third one, I got so immersed that after a few hours, I stopped to quick save, went into the final boss fight and died just after the last vat had been force smashed, 'cos I got stunned three times in a row. Yeah, I broke my keyboard...

The other was an argument I had with a self-professed Star Wars nerd, regarding the manner in which, during their fight, Anakin Skywalker cut off Count Dooku's hands. Bear in mind, demonstrations were involved. And I won... after youtube adjudication.
It was my first time there so you can't really take my opinion that seriously if you went there many times before and I have nothing to compare it to, i've only been once. But I did really enjoy it and thought it was great fun, I bought some cool stuff and did some other things, played some games etc... it was just the whole experience really that I loved. Seeing so many geeks in one place, with many of them cosplaying was just awe-inspiring for me. >.<

I'm glad you had fun, though don't start about the cosplayers... last time I went, I've never wished to have a flamethrower more...

Admitttedly, it has been a long time, so things have probably changed, because they downsized it massively that time and only used up like half the hall which was a bit crappy. Might go again this October... (and probably catch a mate of mine buying yet more figurines!)

Probably that would be creating a from-scratch pen-and-paper RPG rule book, because I wanted a more flexible system. It consists of the skills and S.P.E.C.I.A.L from Fallout, the node deck from Dead Space, the weapon and armor system of Patapon 3 and the talent system from Borderlands. Don't forget many borrowed things from WoW. Awesomesauce system, I like it and my friends like it.

Also, qouting MLP:FIM on a daily basis, I don't want to talk about it.

I drove 32 hours to the LA convention center for my first Anime Expo. Probably to date the nerdiest and most awesome thing I have ever done. Also most expensive!
Did you consider going on an airplane? I mean, come on, 32 hours drive?? Thats insane..

Considering your average speed, if stops and sleep not included would be around 1600-2000 kilometers..

I went to see the revamped Star Trek....

...on opening day...

...on the imax...

..with people I'd never met in real life before but were "really good mates" on the internet.

Either that or going to the Eurogamer-con on my own..

I watched a CS finale live, airing from Dreamhack. I felt dirty. At least I wasn't actually there.
Ahhr.. I once watched some Starcraft 2 finals live over internet from Germany, though i have never tried any Starcraft game myself, never seen it IRL or never had any interest in it at all..

Building popped up everywhere, worms came out of the ground.. I understood very little of it, still i watched it..

Wrote a song about what hardware I'd buy if I had the money, based on the melody of a danish song from the 70's (yeah, I'm danish)... Right up there with attending Warhammer tournaments and playing Magic the Gathering on a regular basis :p
Oh, and reading WH40K novels, give them a try, some of them are excellent..

Best Regards :)

About a month ago, in my Geometry class, we were asked to draw a picture on a piece of graph paper. I drew an E-Tank from Mega Man.

Also, I've listed 250 Pokemon from memory (although this was before Black and White came out, so I think I could hit 300 now). My friend decided to hang the list on his wall.

I once used my D&D campaign as "bait" to lure a girl home to my place, under the pretense of discussing her upcoming character. The best part about that is of course that it worked, and I'm marrying her later this year.

edit: It belongs in the story that she didn't roleplay at the time, and was not familiar with D&D other than through Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights.

Started playing Warhammer 40k... you know, the ACTUAL thing with little plastic dudes you paint ^_^
hey i just picked that up a few weeks ago myself! what army you playing as?

and that is probably the geekiest thing I've done to this date, i really gotta put more time into geeky ventures, im behind schedule!
I've started collecting the Tau ^_^ I started about 2-3 weeks ago. Ebay is wonderful :D although I do buy my paints and brushes from the proper store.
no frigging way! my friend showed me a store a few weeks ago and since then i have been going back weekly collecting Tau myself! due to financial issues i only have 1 squad of fire warriors with the base coat done, but soon i should be getting quite a few more units. (a little over a thousand points worth in base cost, not counting wargear/kroot armor saves etc.) it all depends on when the paycheck gets here.

and personally i prefer to order them from the games workshop site through the store so that the store i go to makes profit. and soon i heard that will be the only way to get them besides P2P transactions, because store owners complained that they did all the work getting new players, but got no money when they ordered and built their armies from online.
Painting is so much fun though :) my Kroot look great... and so do my fire warriors ^_^
