What do you think we will look like a million years from now? (assuming we are still around)Will we gain psychic powers? turn into gelatinous blobs that can only communicate through texting? or perhaps we will become beings of pure energy?

Give me your thoughts.

Evolution through genetic manipulation is the next step. The movie "Gattaca" spells it out all pretty well.

I believe the human form will be genetically modified and perfected to be a fusion of organic and synthetic materials suitable for dramatically extended lifespans and deepspace travel.

Cybernetics. Not really an evolution but cool nonetheless.
I'd call the development of straightup cybernetics to be the next step in human evolution.

Beyond that, its going to be genetic tailoring before nature runs its course.

Unless we go through a population bottleneck.

Based on the principles laid out by Darwin, and nearly perfected in subsequent years, we will seperate into two species. One of tall slender beautiful build. The other a lest wholesome looking troll like thing. It will never grow into a cast system due, in large part, to the rise of liberalism, however it will become a more distinct genetic chasm. One day the will trolls find themselves holding the majority of menial labor globally, and will rise up and start a species war. Eradicating the slender species by virtue of a more neanderthalic muscular build. The war will be horrific. The war will also set humanity back several thousand years, both technologically, genetically, intellectually and societally.

Or we could just figure out how to genetically manipulate our sperm and create the perfect human, both physically and mentally. We would then overpopulate the world until there is a major climate collapse and we all die. Which is more likely. Better go snorkeling off the great barrier reef while you can!

I think it'll probably be something along the lines of us just being stronger, smarter, and living longer than we are now. I don't think we're going to ba able to fly or stuff like that.

Though it would be fun to be one of the X-men.

So basically we'd just look like this?

Why the hell would anybody want that?

In all fairness we're not talking Borg/cybermen takeover, Im assuming Computing implants will be the "synthetic evolution".

natural...Would probably be more nimble fingers. Remember evolution is only adapting to situations where it is needed. The problem is we've changed our surrounds to match us, instead of the other way round.

I would quite like humanity to develop their brians so they operate from a completly logic stand point
Although I can see some people would object but they would make good scientist, doctors and leaders

Completely destroyed and forgotten by the universe.

That's what you meant, right? Where will we be in a few hundred thousand years?
