Adventure.
The 1977 text adventure. (Also released later on as Colossal Cave Adventure)
Woo! First computer game ever!

...But if you don't mean of the text adventure variety, I'm thinking Tetris and Gauntlet.
Yeah, Tetris can be just a little bit hypnotizing really late at night...
But nothing beats white writing on a little blue screen.

Pong an ancient atari console (bought at a jumble sale in the late 70s ) and then "Galaxians" on my first actual computer a ZX81 (more of a calculator crossed with a doorstop) I saved up for from my paper round

Probably got to be Megaman X for the SNES.
I was hooked on that game at the age of six months.

Tetris, the oldest video game in existence.

Pong on a original machine, Dig Dug which I really enjoyed, Centipede, Pacman, and several other games I can't really remember...

Pong on an arcade machine that looks like a table top (the thing looks like it weighs more than my car).
