I hook up my snes once in a while to play stuff like ff6, super metroid, mario rpg/world, megaman x, zelda and others i can't remember at the moment... I love that system.

the only things worth playing on my nes are my megaman games, guardian legend and zelda1-2

Tried playing Torment a few weeks back, and oh yeahh, that game is good, didn't finish it til the end as i'm daft enough to play mmos these day. Got as far as... mortes house.

Anyway, was great to go back despite the graphics and I sort of knew the story (the longer I played, the more I knew how it ended, having played it to death previously) wonderful game!

Hm... I think that would be Age of Empires II. I occasionally dabble in the first Age of Empires as well, but not often enough for it to count, I think.

First thing I did with my Android was download emulator and play FF1 for NES and beat it. Pacman on the phone. Street Fighter II on MAME on the computer. MarioKart 64 on Project64 when my brother's in town to kick his ass.

I still play NES games on a semi-regular basis. I may actually own some DOS games that pre-date the NES, but I haven't played them in forever; anyone know when the Gold Box D&D games were made?
Mmmmm.... AD&D with 16 colors... you just brought back some memories.

Super Mario Bros. 1985, It's some fun on the bun. I also sometimes play Mike Tyson's Punchout, 1987. Both for the Nes. I've never beaten Punchout. Only ever gotten to Mr. Hollywood.

For me, I still play my NES at times and play CastleVania. It is only about 30 mins to an hour long, but the game is still fun, probably out of nostalga. How about you all, is there any old games you go back and play?

oh yes and try not to go after the 2000's era. go before that time
Well, they do say the oldest game in the world is prostitution. either that or hitting other hairy apemen with bones, so I'll go with Snakes and ladders, or battleships.

X-com is pretty old('91 I think), and I was playing it last month, in the past few days I've been playing through Descent 1 (94) and Descent II (96 I think).

Red Alert 2
Half Life
GTA 3, VC
Lemmings Paintball
Worms world party
Unreal Tournament GoTY edition, 2003
Battlefield 1942

Legend of Zelda OoT/MM

and every now and then I boot up my DOS emulator:
Xargon
Major Stryker

Although it no longer works on my computer (uses the cpu clock to determine the speed. That was fine when your computer was running at 75MHz or less), I used to boot up 'Castle Master' a fair bit. Often considered to be the earliest 3D computer game. I never managed to find all the keys...

Yeah. Castlevania all the way. I have even older games but they just gather dust....
