I got my WoW account deleted for accidentally typing a third "k" in the popular internet shorthand meaning "ok".

Played a browser based pet game (not Neopets) where there was a game where you had to click the correct object. You had only one chance a day to play it. However, I discovered on the page where it said "Succes!" and rewarded you currency, you could repeatidly press F5 to refresh and it would reward you currency without being inhibited by the daily limit. The great thing is that the rewarded accumulated so I would just hold down F5 and make a fortune.

Apparently instead of fixing the bug and undoing what currency I illigitmatly obtained they banned me. There wasn't even anything worth using it on.

Got banned for 48hrs on World of Warcraft because I logged in using a firewall moley thing. There was a strict firewall at Uni so I used a program to by-pass this. Apparently a certain IP I used to login Blizzard automatically flamed up as a third party hacking IP so I got 48hr suspention. So did my friend's account I tried because I was finding out what exactly happened.

If you play a Mage in Might & Magic: Dark Messiah multiplayer you get instantly kicked even if you're not spamming Arcane Missiles. You know, some people can legitamtly rape your face without using cheap tactics. Clearly they didn't.

People don't understand Irony in Heroes of Newerth. Apparently dening the 'vote to concede' because I "voted concede the last 3 games" is kickable despite at the start my team mates didn't vote to remake when we had a DC because they "voted to remake the last 3 games". People have memories of goldfish in that game. I can't wait for DotA2, it means I get to play against rich arseholes instead of cheap arseholes.

I got kicked off the chat during Desert Bus 2010 for no reason. I couldn't even rejoin because the chat server filled up. I raged quitted.

I got banned from a European TF2 server, because I was Finnish??? And once I got banned from another tf2 server because I sounded like a Brit, and another time I got banned from UK server because they though I was French... Go figure... Discrimination much?

to kick things off, i recently was banned from a browser game (i'm not saying who) for multi accounting, this is because my ISP provides a dynamic IP addess, making it look like a different account each time i logged in.

naturally those dopes didn't accept my appeal with a logical explanation of this.

so escapists, what's YOUR story?
I got banned for having a name similar to someone else. The ban email I got even referenced things he, not I, said.

Not pretending I was never anything but a saint. Just that I was pretty clearly banned for someone else's actions here.

I've been kicked from several L4D2 games and I have absolutely no idea why. Not been bothering anyone, tend to stick with or near my team, often take opportunities to slow down survivors when playing as infected (like when the rest of my team is stuck in respawn and the survivors are getting close to an objective or a choke point), avoiding traps like alarm cars etc.

That said, L4D2 seems to be filled with rage kiddies, arseholes who scream down the mic the second you put a foot wrong, even bigger arseholes who think they're god's gift to gaming and combinations thereof, so that's probably my answer.

I got kicked, well, I took my leave actually, from a gaming community wich only accepted members of 25 and above. I had one of those animated text bars under my forum posts wich, amongst others, stated 'weed smoker'(I'm Dutch!). And a quote from the movie Dodgeball about a cock-flavored lollypop.
They asked me to remove it, so I looked up the rules and said 'nu-uh', there was nothing in the rules wich could even be explained as applying to my signatures. If I removed it, I'd get less infraction points. I mean, if I'd voluntarily removed them I'd still be punished, only a bit less! How noble!
But I kept refusing, up to the point that they didn't used the rules anymore, but the 'some of us have kids and could be watching' sentiment. And that's when I said: 'Ok, that's it, if I have to take responsibility for other peoples kids watching over their shoulders on this forum, this is not the place for me'.

I think you're right, never in my 10+ years of online gaming have I experienced a playerbase as unforgiving and rude as the L4D2 one!

The name "Sexual Harassment Panda" gets me kicked and banned from Black-ops servers.

Apparently it's completely fine to play the game in a completely anti-social manner, but my username is a problem.

putting up the flag at my elementary school when i was younger. I let the flag touch the ground and some little jerk started whining about it and told the principal.
Letting flags touch the ground is considered disrespectful, remedied only by burning them. Not that anyone who -whines- about it understands the meaning by default.

I hate servers that have Donor/Premium slots, which I seem to largely find in Team Fortress 2. If a donor logs on, they'll arbitrarily kick a player for "reserved slot". I do not appreciate having my killstreaks interrupted just because of someone lining the host's pockets.

Oh god the amount of css servers i have been banned from for awping. Now if the server has no awping in the name of the server fine I wont awp its there server. But i have been banned for awping and the banned comment was "read our rules on our forums say no awping noob".
Also one deagin people in css always makes them rage oh and scouting on a no awp server because they like the scout untill i point out that the scout is even more broken for its 100% accuracy in no scoping :/.

Then one time i was taged up with the sponsor tag in my name and was banned because the admin said its a noob friendly server.
Please don't take offence, but you are the exact reason I don't play Counter-Strike.
It's not because you spend your days "awping" or whatnot, it's because you're using a language I barely recognise, and convey a tone I simply abhor.

On a related-to-the-OP note, I'm not sure I've been banned from anything before. Oh! I did once get kicked during my first go on mp_beach on Return to Castle Wolfenstein. As an Allied Force, I launched a rocket straight through the balistraria of the bunker [https://picasaweb.google.com/112101729417128985641/ReturnToCastleWolfenstein#5492345226423278802] at the beachhead, some 300 yards from my position in the water, with clinical precision. It turns out that I'd joined the game one minute after it had begun, and at that *exact* moment, the bunker was no longer full of Axis soldiers, but *every* other Allied soldier on my team. I wiped them all out on my first shot. I got kicked, came back on and apologised, and ended up playing for hours and making a new group of friends, whom I'm still in touch with.

Win?

Well it wasn't me who received the kicking, but I did cause it, so I think that counts enough for this thread.

Years ago, playing Raven Shield, I remember going on a team-kill rampage. After I'd wiped out 3/4 of my team, I stopped and used the game's "vote kick" feature to start a vote as to whether or not we should kick out one of the guys I just killed.

Everyone assumed he was the one doing the team-killing, and thus they kicked him out.

A laugh was had.

I was banned from Xbox Live once because i met some cocky kid online and he wanted a 1v1 game, so i accepted but didn't realise how bad he was... The kid camped with a claymore in a room so i just threw a grenade in and killed him. so the kid goes " NOOO!!! *SCREAMS FOR AGES* YOU F##KING HACKING N###A!!!" then leaves and reported me.

i thought nothing of it until tomorrow i was banned from xbox live. apparently the kid got his friends to make several accounts and all report me (about over 100 im guessing). but none the less i made an appeal and the kid had his account banned thus i am now restored to trolling children online.

Getting kicked from pugs in WoW for being a 'crappy healer', when every single other member stood in fire, were under-geared, refused to pick up or kill the adds that's attacking me, and generally suck balls.
That shit pisses me off.
Crappy pugs is one thing.
I can deal with that.
I'm a patient guy, and not everyone are good players.
And I can take blame if blame is due.
In fact, I'll admit it myself.
I occasionally really do fuck up, sometimes really stupidly.
But do not fucking blame me when you are obviously completely clueless about everything.

I get really pissed off when people blame me for shit I did not do.
I guess it's from my little sister who always blamed me for almost everything she did in our childhood.
Way more often than not, when I got scolded, I was innocent.
Always did infuriate me.

Still, got back at her.
Computer not booting?
Flat tire on your bike?
Want to borrow money?
Tough.

Yes. I got banned on SW Battlefield 2 once. I joined a game of capture the flag, and I went, got the flag, and captured it... Then I got repeated spam messages from my team telling me not to capture it. ??? Then I was kicked.

And I hear that in the Nascar games you get kicked from games just for sucking at it. "Oops I accidentally spun out. Well at least all I have to do is accelera... Dangit kicked"

EDIT: I just thought of something. I joined a Dark Carnival Left 4 Dead 2 campaign and they were all trying to get the Gnome achievement. Two of them knew each other but one of them was a random guy like me, so I kept hiding the gnome and telling them it was him. Eventually I got them to kick him even :) Then I did it two more times till they finally quit cause they got tired of it. "Well, sorry AMMO Kidd. I know you've been helping us out but we just can't keep going with all these douche-bags joining. We'll just have to try again tomorrow..." lol
