What is the weirdest anime you have ever seen?

Girls Bravo. It's on Youtube. It's hilariously perverted, although it does have a heart, too. I watched all 24 episodes, and loved it.

I haven't seen much of the weird stuff but I'll say Girls Bravo.
It's amazing how it manages to stay clean(ish) given the plot idea...

my tastes in anime are normally very tame, so most of these I havent heard of, but personally, excel saga was just nuts, getting crazier as it went on, particularily the baseball player with the giant hair.... even by anime standards XD, and the last episode was so very very crazy

oh and loveless was strange, plot wise i never quite got it, but then again the anime ended at the halfway ish point in the manga with no real conclusion

Probably a tie between Kaiba (note the spelling if you're trying to look it up) and Kemonozume (sometimes spelled Kemonodzume); they are both by the same guy and they are way out there. Aggressively stylized and full of violence, sex (although less so in Kaiba), deeper meaning, good characters, and pure awesome; these two shows are on my top 5 list.


There was another anime about a cute cat family that was really out there, even by my standards, but I can't remember the name of it.

I wouldn't say evangelion is wierd especially compared to the movies, those of which are a entirely different beast altogether. I got more Wtf's from the first minute of watching the end of evangelion than the whole series.

Paranoia Agent is very wierd. The storyline seems simple to follow at first but it soon slides into a wierd pschological thriller (reminiscent of Perfect Blue which ironically was made by the same guy) that of which makes you think, what the fuck is going on!

uh, well, I think School Days had the most screwed ending. I mean, I thought it was going to be a low key, intense drama/romance thing. low key? Hah! I should've realized, anime is never low key...

Actually, it's not even close. Bobobobo Bobobo is absolute powdered insanity. It is the most insanely random lunacy in the entire history of humanity. You know all trace of common sense is utterly gone by the second episode when a gang of bald, hair-stealing thugs wearing toupees are run down by a small private english language lesson between an orange star wearing nerd specs and a huge martial artist with a blond afro dressed as an office lady.
Everything else in this thread can just GIVE UP.
