Umineko no Naku Koro ni. It is the heavily edited down question arcs of a VN, and makes absolutely no sense at all on its own. And there's no sign that the answer arcs will ever be (as poorly) animated to complete it. It's predecessor series is my all time favourite though.

Agreed although there was just so much detail in the VN than Deen could never have hoped to complete the 4 arcs within 26 episodes unless it was the bare minimum (and even less really..).

Umineko no naku koro ni: I gave it 16 or so episodes before giving up, because the plot was just not making any sense at all.

Hentai-wise it's either:
Bondage Game or Ali Maniax, though those might qualify as fucked up more then weird.

Mushishi comes to mind. And the movie Paprika. I'm sure there is more but generally when I realize the whole point of the show is to eff with your mind, I turn it off.

Anything by Masaaki Yuasa is guaranteed to be a complete mind-fuck.

Kaiba, Mind Game, (and by far his craziest work) Kemonozume. Also did some of the animation work for Cat Soup.
More recently he did The Tatami Galaxy, but that wasn't as strange as his older stuff.

I mean I got the main character boy who's fancied by an older girl, but then it just gets odd with robot cats and girl who hits things with a guitar and there's a giant kettle in the town they live in that's like a factory or something and the boy has a horn grow out his head and...arggghhhithinkmyeyesjustglazedover...

Any "H" anime is usasly pretty wried too.

Now that i'm thinking about it, even Dragon Ball Z has a crazy plot

..."H" anime usually doesn't focus on story to begin with. It's all tits and vaginas there.
