Dragon Age 2.

*starts to sob*

STUPID, STUPID, STUPID BIOWARE!

*hugs his copy of Witcher 2*

It's a pity too. So much potential wasted...

For me it was Breach, Endwar or hearts of iron 3
Breach: I saw it on steam and thought that it had a lot of potential and that it looked cool, It was laggy, poorly optimized, and combat was boring. The server finding was also horrible and I lagged in all of them.
Endwar: I'm normally a huge fan of RTS but this one was too rock paper scissors, I like games like company of heroes where units have a weakness but a competent commander can still come out on top.
Hearts of Iron 3: I LOVED HOI2, it was complex enough to make it interesting but simple enough to make it fun. HOI3 on the other hand made everything so complex it just wasn't fun at all. I tried to start 3 games and I got bored after about 30 mins because it was too complicated and I couldn't enjoy myself.

God so many. Torchlight for number 1.

You know what I hated about Diablo? Too many classes, too many specialization options, too much gear, too much content. Torchlight remedied those problems. /sarcasm

Honestly, I'm starting to think BioShock 2 sounds awesome, at least for me.

What are the major differences?
There aren't really that many MAJOR differences, the main one being you play as a unique Big Daddy, of course. You can wield plasmids and weapons at the same time, meaning no more getting pumped full of holes while switching. The weapons you have at your disposal are severely limited, I think just down to the Rosie's Rivet-gun and the Bouncer's Drill.

Oh and they also took the worst part of Bioshock 1, where you have to protect a little sister while she extracts ADAM from corpses, and turned it into almost every boss-fight in the game, protecting her while she gathers ADAM, then protecting her from the Big Sister, which is basically the game's answer to all the Bioshock 1 fanboys with a genetic-modification fetish.

Enjoy!

Legendary. I expected more from a game that had Lycans and Griffons in it. Got over it pretty quickly though so is all good.

Metroid Other M.

Worst game purchase I've ever made, and soon to become the first game I ever trade in.

I can't say that i've played any truly terrible games this year but off the top of my head i'll go with Jolly Rover. It's by no means terrible, but what looked like a fun and quirky indie point and clicker about dogs who are pirates turned out to be a pretty bland and uninspired game about... dogs who are pirates.

More action based, play as a Big Daddy, not as hard as 1[footnote]Although in both, you can turn the Vita-Chambers off[/footnote] but still a challenge, hacking is so much better than 1, gameplay is better and more fluid (At least to me.) and Rapture is still pretty damn awesome to stomp around. Also, the first couple of times you fight them, the Big Sisters will fuck you up. So yeah, that's what I thought the differences where between 1 and 2, although I loved both. Although in 2, the "Defending the Little Sister" mini-games you will play are sort of dull after a while.

OT: Kane and Lynch 2. I've never quit a demo before but that game is just...fucking terrible.

for me either Dead Rising 2 or Mass Effect, I didn't really like both games, they weren't terrible, just not for me.

Freecell. The graphics are crap, the story's non-existent, and there's no soundtrack whatsoever. None! It's shameful, frankly.
And where's my multiplayer? Come on, guys, it's like you're not even trying!

Force Unleashed 2 is a good one!
Force Unleashed 2 is a good one! I hated it sooooo much when my friend brought it over happily. I tried to lie to him, but I was so bored after playing it for like an hour and a half.
AND THE JEDI CLONE THING? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT DAMMIT. ARRRRG.
ok so I got told that the whole trying to clone starkiller is the face it can't work, the cloning facility is full of clones that didn't work so they brought starkiller back to life, convinced him he was a clone so he would do Vaders bidding again

OT Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
ok I wasn't expecting a master piece, but for the love of some Deity, it hurt to play it! After ten minutes I had a headache and after thirty minutes I had to go and lay in a dark room!

The worst game I'm played this year was Homefront.

Average graphics, DREADFUL storyline, biased physics engive (such as when someone shot me from the other side of a solid steel wall), arse-backwards AI, barely-visible HUD. Just bad. Absolutely rotten to the core.

It's currently the only game I've ever traded in (I'm something of a collector).
I second this one. It is the only game that I have returned to Gamestop for a refund/exchange because of how shitty it was. And that's coming from someone who kept Vampire Rain for several weeks and finished Soldier of Fortune: Payback.

Oh yeah, that reminds me I traded in Homefront, and I managed to sit through/stomach Sonic 2006 with a grim determination AND go on to give the game a permanent place in my collection.

It's that bad.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I get bizarre urges to play games I know I didn't enjoy. I think it must be a form of masochism unique to gamers who simply yearn for the experience.
