OH MAN 4CHAN ARE ALL HACKERS AND PAEDOPHILES AND TROLLS have either never actually been, or given it only a fleeting glance.
There's a lot of shit on those boards, but about 30% of it is good content, funny and thoughtful.
At least for /v/ anyway. Not been to /b/ in a long time, never liked it much. /x/ is ok, and /k/'s alright too.

Most of the stuff you hear like that is from /b/. The other boards tend to stay out of the way as it's populated almost entirely by 12 year olds who think "LOL ANONYMUZ". The rest of 4chan isn't anywhere near as bad.
