Never heard of /v/ before its so funny reading some of the shit thats put up, my personal favourite is some guy talking about portal 2 as if crashing it is going to bring about a return of "zee glorious hardcore gaming":

If it crashed, it'd scare off casuals for another 30 years. It will go back to what it was like when the NES came out. Sony, Nintendo and MS competing over the hardcore gamer.

Really they are annoyed about skins being avalible on day one THEY ARE OPTIONAL AND NOT NEEDED THEY ARE FOR FANS WANTING TO DONATE TO VALVE its not like you need to buy the Co-Op or anything.......

I never said I hated it here. All DLC is optional, doesn't mean it's not Day 1 DLC. Go back to the valve forums if you're a committed member of their internet defence force.

/v/ is a section of 4chan, but unlike /b/ its filled with a lot less trolls and messed up stuff, the main think about /v/ though is its a imageboard about vidya, but /v/ hates all vidya. (vidya is what they call video games)

Oh come now, I've seen them ban people for posting legitimate comments on a game or on topic and in the same thread watched, baffled, when racist remarks and posting "noodz" went without issue. The mods there are trigger-happy and immature.


I've been lurking /v/ for years (otherwise there's a lot in gaming I'd have totally missed out on), it's not a haven of intellectual video games discussion, it's a pit of screaming man-children.

Valve needs donations? I'm pretty sure day one DLC is a pure cash grab. You're right, in this case it superfluous, but by virtue of even your statement it's still an apparent cash grab. Dressing it up as a way for people to donate to Valve only comes across as you making excuses for them (not that I'm saying you are... just seems that way).
