"Favorite" is a tough call. I'd most likely say Nightmare before Christmas. Rounding up the tops are anything Pixar. Anything. Most anything Miazaki, say about 90% of his stuff is something to use as a benchmark.

I can't believe I forgot Heavy Metal. It is maybe the greatest film ever made. It inspired me and my buddy's epic project Tiger Assault Pageant. Its a comic based on a ridiculous story about tigers, dragons and cyborgs which is meant to be read while listening to an album we are also putting together.

So, recap: Miyazaki and Heavy Metal = Fightgarr's favorite films.
That's right: films. Not animated films. Films.

I´d settle for the Shrek films, for making me cry tears of joy and laughter for hours.
Princess Mononoke, Akira and the Ghost in the Shell films for being epic animes, sadly the first one has just been showed uncut ONE TIME here in Germany, and i watched it...since the new "ban voilence!" cry by the politians, it will probably never be shown again.
And mostly all of the Disney and Pixar movies, for filling my childhood with glee and joy.
Have to watch WallE some time.
The Spirit Within is also an awesome Movie.
And an important one, an animated documentation that everyone should watch.
Waltz with Bashir is probably one of the best animated "movies" out there, following the events that occured during the Lebanon war, and a young Ari Folman trying to puzzle together his connection to the Shabla and Shatila massakers.
It´s just so surreal that you think none of this ever happened, yet all the characters are real, and it even shows some shocking reallive scenes at the end. A must watch for history interested people.

My last vote goes out to a little patriotic side, a german animation film based on the book Felidea, with the same name. Has been released in English too.
Don´t let the Disneyesk look and the Animal (Cats) maincast fool you, this is one bloody thriller involving murder, rape and racial purification... definatly a place in my top 10.

Toy Story probably tops my favorite animated movies that still hold up today.
Dumbo is my favorite animated movie that I loved as a kid and havent seen in 15 years.
Spirits Within (I refuse to place "FF" in front of it because it had NOTHING to do with final fantasy.) was good, but I saw it many years after the hype.

For the first time in a long time, I don't have an answer. I have no idea what my favorite animated movie is.

This actually angers me. What happened to my youth? Why can't I think of one movie I immensly liked as a child.

If it doesn't: Hulk vs Wolverine (just for the Deadpool parts)
That's how Deadpool should have been in that Wolverine movie! Though really he shouldn't have been in there at all.

OT: I would have to say End of Evangelion if we count anime. The Incredibles if we don't.

The Beatles, Yellow submarine :D
You get extra points for mentioning this!

"Ah, the hills are alive.."
"[sings]..with the sound of music!"
"Who did it? Who is responsible for this?!"
"Rimsky-Korsakov?"
*Physical abuse*
"...Guy Lombardo?"

Appleseed, Akira, and Spriggan are the three that I love to watch over and over again.

Secret Of Nimh(I wish they hadn't killed off those two characters at the end, though. Then they could have made a movie of the book sequel, instead of that piece of shit, Timmy To The Rescue), Watership Down, Plague Dogs, and Brother Bear. I also like all of the Miyazaki films I've seen, as well as a cool independently made film called We Are The Strange.

Yup. Let's hope they make things right in the solo movie.

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

Can we count animated flicks made through rotoscope technique? If yes then, Richard Linklater?s A Scanner Darkly & Waking Life are though certain movies for which one needs to be on a definite wavelength to like, no matter how cultured or intelligent and manage to evoke questions and thoughts.

Let's hope the solo movie isn't a continuation of the Wolverine movie. Also do you know who holds the rights to Deadpool? I'm going to assume Marvel doesn't considering he appeared in the Wolverine movie, which Marvel doesn't hold the rights to.
