Don't tell me it wasn't a boss fight.
The game can be a bit unforgiving to the unprepared. First priority is getting your ship upgraded and make a beeline for Arilou space and do their quest. Trust me. You don't really need a strong fleet in the way you're probably thinking. Spathi can kick ur-quan and khor-ah ass every day of the week as long as you're not careless. And for the love of god keep the 4 Pkunk ships they give you and never use them until the final battle. Those two are really the only ones you need, your flagship and everyone else can be used for minor conflicts until you get the big guns for your flagship. Then it becomes a matter of just knowing where to gosteeple said:how in dear god's name did you get that far?!Haagrum said:The Sa-Matra from Star Control 2.

I always got demolished by the freaking khor-ah while trying to get more minerals and a decent fleet
Basically, you grind tech and info from the Melnorme. Load up on cargo bays and crew, strip-mine systems with decent mineral resources, and let your escort ships do the fighting. Getting Orz and Spathi allies makes this easier, since they're more dependable than the old Earth Cruisers. Having the portal spawner helps a LOT.steeple said:how in dear god's name did you get that far?!Haagrum said:The Sa-Matra from Star Control 2.
