Those fights always proved to be the most epic and personal favorites for me mainly because I got to see Sonic and Shadow in their super forms fighting together.
Secondly I loved the last fight with Vergil because he proved to be a final boss that was actually the hardest boss to beat. The fight had you using every trick you learned throughout the game and kept you on your toes the whole time.
Hmmmm the 15th, and 16th imo proved to be the most epic with the 3rd, 12th and 13th pulling up the rear.Midnight Crossroads said:

I'm probably going to catch a lot of flak for this, but Shattered Dimensions had some pretty excellent boss battles. The only one I can say wasn't well done was the last bit with Mysterio. I would say the one I liked most was Vulture from the Noir universe. The rest of that level was a poorly thought out mess, and the stealth mechanics are for shit, but the fights with him were amazing.

Leon Bell from Dead Rising 2 mainly for the awesome song and Slicecycles.
The Strider Battle from HL2:ep2 as I guess it's a sort of boss battle
Wheatly from Portal 2, cause well that's one hell of a way to resolve a stalemate
and finally fighting the afro'd guy from little big planet, I don't know why exactly.

For me, I cant decide out of all the battles in Devil May Cry 4, I loved that game.
Actually mabey the last boss in Jak 3.

My would have to be Henry from No More Heroes. It's a simple one on one duel at the car park in Travis motel but the fight is epic. Also Henry has an awesome instant kill move as well.
Also that huge robot boss fight in Metroid Prime 2 Echo is awesome aswell since it take statergy to kill it than to somehow nuke the thing (you had to morph into ball form and crawl onto its legs and plant bombs on the joints).

Do modded Boss fights count? The Manimarco Revisited Mod REALLY made my Favourite Oblivion Boss a Bad ass!
If not, then I would choose either GLaDOS from Portal, Wheatley from Portal 2, or Jack of Blades from Fable.
Really it's hard to choose, all boss fights are different and all fit in with the story (hopefully). I would of choose Lucien Fairfax from Fable II, but he's probably not a boss fight.

As a character, it's mostly because I see a lot of myself in her. As a boss, well...You know how it's nearly impossible to do bullet-time in multiplayer games, because everyone would need to have it on at once and it wouldn't do much except make it easier for your targets to get out of the way or behind cover, when they otherwise would probably have been another headshot for your tally? The fight with Youmu is pretty much that, except you're the target.StormShaun said:
Hrrrrrrr, the most epic boss-fight ever... I actually quite liked fighting against Cross (The first battle VS him) in Prototype, but I have to give my award to Devil May Cry 3-4. After all, last fight versus Vergil, and last fight against Dante (As Nero) are epic, both of them.
I'd say the Paper Mario, Pikmin and Sonic games (even the declining ones) all had really good, very challenging boss battles.
