My favourites are probably Cowboy Bebop and Deathnote.

I haven't watched many, I'm quite picky about them so haven't seen a lot of the really popular ones (although I have seen some).
'Darker Than Black' and 'Ergo Proxy' are probably my favourites.
Elfen Lied I liked but I wish it had less nudity so I didn't feel like a pervert.
Death Note was good, but dragged on for too long
I preferred the two non-animated movies.

Alright Dragon Ball Z is good but they did make it not as good with the Goku being a kid again i quit watching after that....Also yes DeathNote was great but also Kinda short i have watched the movies its not animated but Ryuk is (Hope I spelled that right).

I have three: Robotech, Kannazuki no Miko and Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory. I am somewhat sure it was the last UC Gundam, it's a bit better than Wing, which kicks Seed's ass.
I am not an otaku, merely an enthusiast, I'm far too literate, analytical and cynical to be an otaku. Also, I like Star Wars Age of Empires and The Elder Scrolls while hating jrpgs more than Yahtzee.

One Piece. Seriously, I find it to be improbably awesome! So crazy and still touching sometimes. Also it has a guy that can turn his entire body into fire, so it's a WIN in my book.

My favourite though is Valkyria Chronicles. I never played the game but the anime series they made based on it was amazing.
I just love the idealistic feel to it and the peaceful country it's set in. There's some beautiful scenery and an interesting storyline.

case closed. i love the sherlock holmes/james bond gadgets aspect and the story isn't to out there. and also speed racer when i was a kid. i mostly dont like anime for the same reasons as yatzee. to many androdinest males running around with compensatory swords looking emo because hot anime chicks want to rides his willy and he doesnt know how to pronunce the words "yes i would like sexy you hot hot girl!" so he has to be agnsty about it and get out his sexual agression but plunging his "giant sword" into girly look "males" also ninjas are awsome but naruto however is not a ninja (i dont mean to offend naruto lovers this is just my veiws and opinions) if for the pure and simple fact he runs around in a FLORECENT ORANGE JUMPSUIT! how do you sneaky when you look like a traffic cone wouldn't that tip the enimies off when they see a shiny orange object shapped like a small asian boy walking slowly past them....course i also have the same gripe with sam fisher how is it you're invisable when you have big shiny lights all over you clothes? but whatever i don't have anything against anime lovers but its not my cup of tea. but i will admit some do tickle my fancy (basicly the two i just named) also deathnote isn't to bad i like the concept at least and i saw an episode or two where they used the book in inventive ways that i though were clever but for the most part i'd rather watch burn notice or possibly true blood or house or soemthing. also though i think cosplayers get a bad name. i mean why should we only dress up as our favorite charceters on halloween? i'd dress up like ash from evil dead but people tend to get offended when you go to shake there hand witha cahinsaw
