Also how is saying most mainstream games suck, and saying something that (appearantly) pisses off fans of certain things, trying to fit in with the crowd? In fact he's alienated tons of veiwers and pisses tons of people off how's that fitting in exactly?
The jokes he makes, the way he puts himself across and his attitude.

I like to call it the House Syndrome. (Actually, I stole that from somewhere.)
I see what you're saying about house and about yahtzee doing the same, but that's not how I veiw it, but that's just my opinion, and to each his (or her) own, right?
Yup, agreed. Nice to know people can be civilised on this forum. Kudos to you.
I agree. it's nice having a conversation or simple debate without someone jumping around and going TROLL TROLL TROLL! FLAMITORY RESPONSE! RUDE REPLY FOR SIMPlY SHOWING YOU'RE VEIWS ON A SUBJECT isn't it? in fact this whole board doesn't seem so bad a few people aside everyone here seems rather...I don't know....level headed? lol

Currently, I am greatly enjoying Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Other good ones (to me) are Trigun, Bleach, Outlaw Star, and I'm contemplating starting Code Geass, since it's on youtube now.

My top five would have to be:

1)Elfen Lied (Truly the most well written storyline to hit the market)
2)Full Metal Panic (Was a blast to watch, so funny and the storyline isnt too bad either)
3)Tenchi Muyo (Classic, need say no more)
4)Ah! My Goddess (Pure brilliance, many lol moments and plenty of crying laughter)
5)Shakugan No Shana (Very interesting, draws you in with some pretty awesome twists plenty of the time once you understand the first two episodes)
6)Dragonball Z (Yeah i know i said top 5... But its a classic!)

I really havent been into anime since the original robotech cartoon. However when I was in Iraq me and a bunch of other guys would pass around pirated dvd's that we got for cheap at the bazaar, so I got to watch a bunch of animes. I think my favorite out of all those was one called Claymore. Had kind of a cool western european feel like berzerk and I liked how the main character got set up. Too many of em nowadays just have a generic badass with no real background, or just some cookie cutter background that you forget about ten minutes into the show.

In no real order of preference,

FLCL - I love this show but am loathe to try to explain WHY.

Twelve Kingdoms - it took the "girl in a fantasy" story and actually made more realistic and WORK beautifully.

Visions of Escaflowne (the series, not the movie) - my first anime, I still have a soft spot for it

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (a.k.a. the good one) - so pretty, plot wise its alright and D is awesome

Porco Roso - its one of the simpler Miyazaki films, the story line doesn't really surprise anyone but its still one of my favorites

My Neighbor Totoro - classic

Hellsing Ultimate OVA - I love vampires, Dracula and I have a love for over the top violence - this series pretty much gives me all that

Ouron High School Host Club - I love this series cause its self aware of the ridiculousness of the shoujo genre that its part of and its nice light entertainment. The anime equivalent of bubblegum and and cotton candy combined.

Death Note was good, but dragged on for too long

Pretty much this. The reason I like anime is because I don't dislike it; the art-style is not a barrier or encouragement, each series is so different from the other it's like watching TV or reading a book to me.

I'd have to side with a 3-way tie between Love Hina, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Ah My Goddess. Yes, apparently I like harem amines =/

I have quite a few, but if I had to choose my top 5 they would be (in no particular order):

1. Honey and Clover (Slice of Life)
2. School Rumble (High School Humor)
3. Macross Frontier (Music and Mechs)
4. Beck MCS (Music)
5. Lucky Star (Pokes fun at other anime)

Honorable Mentions to:

Death Note (Great psychology/Suspense)
Eden of the East (Great Concept)
Full Metal Panic (Nice blend of action/comedy)
Code Geass (Death Note light and with Mechs)
K-On (Moe...)
Fruit Basket (Good character development)
Graves of the Fireflies (Tragic)
