What is your favorite Anime?

My favorite is the one with the characters that have brightly colored hair, huge eyes, tiny chins, the men all look androgynous, and for minutes at a time nothing happens except VO dialog, over still frames, spouting long-winded exposition that does absolutely nothing to advance the story/"plot" or explain anything that has to do with anything.

...oh wait... that doesn't really narrow it down does it?


On a more serious note: I like the Hayao Miyazaki films the best.

I acually liked the Avatar: The Last Air Bender series, don't know why I just did. Sky Land was awsome

Try Cowboy Bebop. You might like it. You almost can't go anymore further from the "androgynous kids with massive swords' Final Fantasy type. And the soundtrack is mindblowingly awesome.

I can hardly ever find an anime that'll hold my attention until the end of the series. The longest I think I went was Fullmetal Alchemist, but I'm not even going to bother with Brotherhood. -_-;;

Say what you will about the main character being a mary sue, but I love Haruhi. And the second season is out, yay!

I'm also a fan of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, as my avatar shows. Do not be put off by the first 5 episodes, it gets a plot and interesting characters.

And Gurren Lagann, that's awesome fun.

Okay, now bear in mind I used to be a spelling and grammar Nazi back in school, and misspelling words or poor grammar used to irritate me, but I kind of past that, so don't take this personally but...I am around 101% positive with a 1% margin of error that it was right the first time. My word processing program also tells me I am right. Could you run that through a similar program and tell me if it's wrong please? If so, then fair enough, better to be enlightened.

It's quite simple. "None" is a contraction of "Not one", thus it takes the singular.

I you want something a bit more substantive, we also have phrases like "None of that matters." and since the genitive section of a sentence doesn't affect the number of a verbal (that's the subject's job) it must be the "None" that is important. I don't think it's right to call "none" a collective noun so it cannot be simultaneously singular and plural; either one sentence is wrong or the other.

It's a fairly common error so that's probably why your word processor didn't pick it up.
