My only favourite band you would probably be interested in (even though 99% have probably heard them before) is Black Sabbath. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GRR_n_yQGA

Others I love is Emerson, Lake & Palmer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwTAXVcK1JA
(3rd Impression) has some of the greatest riffs ever made.

The great Mahavishnu Orchestra - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCVnDx9e0zE
Rock Jazz, combination of the awesome skill and rock power.

And the legendary 'Yes' - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXWTwBIqowk
Last 5 minutes, most powerful melody I've ever heard.

Also my favourite composer, once called the King Of Music, Tchaikovsky - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g16kYMukds
Just keep listening, it gets loud.

That would definetly be Overkill. Best damn thrash metal band out there.
Also listen to a lot of Swedish trallpunk these days, but it's hard to promote the genre on international forums.

And if you're intrested;

*takes a deep breath in* LAMB. OF. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all of my fanboyism gone....

but they're still my favourite band, coming very close behind them; Gojira, Manowar and Heaven Shall Burn.

If you're into metal, check it out.

So suggest me some bands/artists, and tell me what your favorites are. (I prefer actual music, not things like dubstep and the likes. It has to be with actual instruments, not someone who holds their microphone next to his/her washing machine and calls it "dubstep")
So, let's get this party started! :D

Tool. Tool? Yes, Tool. I just like to say Tool. Tool Tool Tool Tool Tool!
Don't know why, but I always liked aPerfectCircle more than tool. 13th Step is a masterpiece.

OT: My vote goes for Alexisonfire. They disbanded last year, but I still have 3 albums' worth of their beautiful music to give me company.

Gotta go with either Clutch.

Or Paramore.

I enjoy both on a daily basis. :D
Also a fan of Green Day, although not as much as I'm a fan of Clutch or Paramore.

Ah, that would be Good Riddance, I think.

Lol, wrong video first time. XD

I personally don't mind it, it's about two minutes long so it's not on long.

Plus did I mention Clutch make everything better?
You should totally listen to Clutch.
Clutch are awesome.

Hehe, understandable, really. I'll admit, I found out about Green Day when they released American Idiot but got into their older stuff when my sister bought every album they had ever made. XD

Also, to drive out the Green Day, have some Clutch.

No, I will not stop pushing Clutch into peoples heads. :D

They must have played that song like 30 times during the school events I went to I.E the ones I had to. People wonder why I didn't go to prom.

My favourite current band changes on a nigh-daily basis...

However, my favourite band of all time? Pink Floyd. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpbbuaIA3Ds] Even though they're way before my time.

Favorite bands? Black Sabbath. Definitely Black Sabbath. Classic, Ozzy-era Black Sabbath that is:

Followed closely by Iron Maiden and AC/DC:

I don't think people had a dislike for Smashing as much as a disdain for Billy Corgan or Jimmy Chamberlain. I mean I've heard that Corgan is fairly big headed about his success (though if you look at it, his head is literally massive). Jimmy Chamberlain is just a heroin junky that got my first concert postponed by a couple months to me.

I do enjoy KoRN too, though I think that going with the Geiger mic stand is a little ummmm... I dunno... odd?
ahhh k..generally I dont concern myself with the people behined the music (unless it was somthing really awful like rape)

though as awful as it sounds I find ithard to sympathise with celebs who die from drug over doses

I don't really have a favourite band as such, I usually just listen to what I like and haven't really picked any specific band I listen to the most.
Some bands I love more than others though, like Green Day for example. I saw them live and they were amazing, such a good atmosphere.

Special mention to The Goo Goo Dolls. They've achieved something very few musicians have and make me feel such strong emotions when I listen to them. I want to be happy, then at the same time I want to cry when I hear them [sub]also Johnny Rzeznick is sexy[/sub] and I love listening to them on sunny days.

I do know how to post videos but for some reason it isn't -_- so here's one.
