Personally (call me a freak) I never want to get drunk, so I will keep that in mind :)

And I can see myself digging this post up at my 18th...
Nothing wrong with not wanting to get drunk. I've been drunk 1 time in my life, and that was on my 21st and to be honest, it kinda sucked. I felt down, I hurt myself, I threw up, and the night pretty much was kinda meh.

Getting drunk is something that kids and alcoholics do (and the two are not mutually exclusive).

Having a drink or two every once in a while to loosen up and just to enjoy the drink itself is different; something responsible adults do.
Just like games are something that only children play, and music influences high school shootings ¬¬

If you don't like it, that's an opinion. Don't hate on people who have a different one though

The Pearl Harbour is a nice one, though I make it differently to the usual recipe since I'm not a huge fan of white rum
35ml Vodka
35ml Midori
35ml Lime Juice
Add to glass filled with ice, top up with lemonade
Stir, garnish with lime
As a laugh, and in the spirit of doing things properly, me and a couple of mates had a Pearl Harbour each - which we tried to finish at about the same time in a relatively casual manner.
Then we made plane noises, yelled things in Japanese, and downed four shot glasses of sake as fast as we could.
Oh what fun was had.

What's not manly about chocolate milk?
I.....I don't know.
I think, perhaps, its because it tastes rather pleasant and is pretty good for you.
And nothing truly manly can be rather pleasant and pretty good for you.

Although I am technically underage, that is one stupid fucking statement.
What's stupid about it? Getting drunk is not responsible drinking. Pretty much the two types of people who get drunk are alcoholics (go figure) and kids that are just under or over the legal drinking age (Cause it's "cool").
Its a sweeping fucking generalisation. People aren't irresponsible alcoholics just because they might go out and get drunk on a Friday/Saturday - or, as seems more likely, just because they don't do the same as you.

Just because you had a piss-poor time when you were drunk once doesn't mean no one else can enjoy themselves. Being pissed doesn't instantly equate to being paralytic and having to go get your stomach pumped, and the assumption that people are man-children because they enjoy being drunk is moronic.

Alcoholism is about not being able to live without drink, not getting pissed with your mates and having a laugh.

Should have made those sake bombs, instead.

Jack and Coke is probably my favorite, and it should be made with a splash of Coke. Also, pretty much all girly drinks work for me, I have a major sweet tooth.

The Pina Colada!

In a smallish glass:
1 shot of rum
Fill half of the glass with pineapple juice
Fill the other half with coconut juice
Add ice cubes

Prepare for the next best thing since sex.
I prefer chichi coladas - the above but with vodka instead of rum :)

Games and music aren't demonstrably bad for you. Getting drunk off your ass is. I've seen the consequences of it far too often for me to condone it.

The way I look at it, it's a binary condition. You can either drink responsibly, or you can not drink responsibly. I have nothing wrong with the former, which is what most people seem to advocate.

In my mind, being drunk = drinking irresponsibly. I know most people don't associate the term with being so inebriated that they're basically non-functional, but I do. The fact are that the people who drink irresponsibly the most are alcoholics and young kids.

Alright, I tend to stop bothering to argue a point with people when they actively state why they're wrong and then continue to base their opinion on it.

Depends on the game, depends on the music, Everything is relative, and drinking, in responsible moderation, isn't bad for you. In fact, there are several convincing scientific reports that claim to the contrary. As it is, we see wild animals specifically choosing to drink. So don't be so down on humans that choose to. Or, if you are, move to Saudi Arabia, where they'll more than satisfy you straight edge needs.

I don't see drinking as something where there is an in between. You either drink responsibly or you don't. There is no "sorta drinking responsibly"

This isn't directed at you, but that statement is the biggest piece of BS that was ever conceived and every time I see it I wanna dragon kick the person who thought it up.

No, responsible drinking is not in fact bad for you (Hell, I started a "Fav Cocktail thread," it's clear I don't look down on responsible drinking). Getting DRUNK however is. I have ZERO respect for drunks, because what they do is dangerous to themselves and it can be dangerous to others.

I'm kinda the opposite. Usually the cocktails I drink tend to be spirits with some aromatics. A little sweetness is ok, but I'll have none of the syrupy stuff they peddle in most restaurants.
