I disike the potential for my thumbs to touch each other on the PS3 controller, and the D-pad seems like its never used for movement anymore, but rather as 8 extra buttonss69-5 said:The PS3 controller is not an improvement on the PS2 (which is the best controller of all time IMO). PS3's L2 and R2 buttons should never have been altered. The thumbsticks are quite comfortable though. Aside from that though the PS3 design is pretty solid.Volafortis said:The Xbox 360 is the best controller, IMO. It fits to the hands, and the thumbsticks and triggers feel much better than any other.
The PS3 controller is an improvement on he PS2 design, but the controller still feels too flat, and the L2 and R2 still suck, as do the thumbsticks.
The 360 controller is a vast improvement on the original XBox design (fish in a barrel) but has issue with it's d-pad (Imprecise and too far away for the thumb too effectively reach. I still use D-Pads quite often for any console game that requires precision). I hate the thumbstick placement as the left one tends to get in the way (the PS3's placement makes more sense to me). The triggers are better on the 360 by a mile though.
if i couldnt read i'd say Keyboard+mouse...SUPA FRANKY said:I prefer my Game cube controller out of all my consoles even though my PS2 is my favorite console ever. I would say the PS2, but the analog sticks are loose as hell.
So what about you guys? It can be controllers for any console, from old school to next gen,or for some obscure consoles.
Nope, I loved that thing. I actually might says that's my favorite... just look at it, coolest controller design ever.Furburt said:Keyboard and mouse for me, if that counts.
Also, am I the only person who actually liked the N64 controller? I think I might be.
Because Sony can't do shit properly. Seriously, I'm not bashing any generation PS console here. I respect all three of them even though I never owned one but Sony is a reaaaaaally overrated company. They can't do anything innovative besides pump stats into their products. And besides the PlayStations, all other Sony products are crap. My guess is the PS controller was designed by the last person with a good idea to work at Sony and when he died they stuck with it. It works, it's OK, but the competing controllers feel more natural.brtshstel said:But seriously, the Dualshock family is functional and ergonomic. Why do you think three generations of PlayStation used the same design?
