The N64 Controller is pretty sweet but I like the 360 controller too. They both just fit in my hands really nice like.

The N64 controller also looks really awesome and different

I never understood why people love it so much. It's got 3 handles! You have 2 hands! When a designer fucks up something as simple as the number of hands the average human being has, I say it's time to fire the designer and go back to the drawing board. Sure, I know you never use the left handle, but come on, people! It could have been better.

Mine used to be the PS2 Dualshock, but the Xbox 360 wireless controller blew it out of the water IMO. All it needs is a D-Pad that isn't made of ass and poo, and it'll be perfect.

I'm rockin' the classic purple
I like the Japanese/European version better despite growing up with the purple-on-gray. I just like "purdy colorz," which is akin to the PS3 controller picture I posed earlier on the thread with the Xbox 360 buttons on it.

But this one is even cooler. I would actually buy this:

The gamecub<PS2 to me at this moment. I like where the PS analog sticks are, the buttons underneath them, but if the gamecube had the D-pad up and the otehr stick down... it would have been excellent because the x and y buttons are perfectly placed.

360 controller is the most comfortable controller I can ever imagine, and it works.

Although for sure idiocy sake I'm gonna say the N64 controller.

Because that was the perfect controller. Of all time. Ever.

Overall, I choose the Dualshock 2 with the 360 controller coming in second. Sure, it's not good for shooters, but it's great for everything else, especially fighting games, which I sure as shit can't say for the 360 controller. Also, I prefer the flat buttons over the round 360 buttons.

It all depends on what kind of game I'm playing at the time.
For fighting games, I've always prefered the Sega Saturn standard controller while for action, third person shooters or action-adventure, I can't go wrong with the Xbox 360 controller.
The Gamecube controller is the most reasonable choice for platformers, a definite improvement over the N64 controller in every way.
Strategy, RPGs and First Person Shooters work best with the keyboard and mouse set-up.
Games that require heavy manipuation of objects in 3-D space (adventure games)are what the Wii-mote was made for.

The 360 controller. It may just be due to repetition, but it feels so natural. The buttons on the computer all feel the same, so it's more difficult to tell what you are doing.

Standard Xbox 360 controller, followed closely by Dualshock 2. Both comfortable, just the right amount of buttons, and analog features on some of the buttons for extra versatility.

YES! No-one's had it yet!

My favourite controller:

Good call; Fat is the best type of controller. But in all seriousness. Gamecube was a great controller. Xbox feels best and PS1 was my most used but of all interfaces you would have to go a long way to beat keyboard and mouse. Especially if you game mainly in FPS...

Keyboard and mouse for me, if that counts.

Also, am I the only person who actually liked the N64 controller? I think I might be.
Same here. Keyboard and mouse are just tops in my book. Though, I'd love to combine the feel of a controller-based analog stick with the precision of using a mouse.

And, no. I too liked that quirky, cumbersome chunk of plastic. To this day I'm still not sure why.

[/edit] Actually, thinking about it, I'm fairly certain I'm probably the only person that preferred the original fat xbox controller instead of the smaller version.
