Hmm, either Ace Combat 5, Ace Combat Zero, Mass Effect 1, or Day of Defeat Source...

I love all of em so much I can't even decide.

KOTOR for the following reasons:
1. It has one of my favorite stories ever.
2. It has no connection to the movies.
3. The combat is fun and never gets too difficult and rarely too easy.
4. I've played it enough to memorize how to complete just about anything and everything in every quest in the game. Fun times.

It's tough to choose, since there are many games that I've enjoyed in completely different ways. But since I have to..

Baldur's Gate 2.

It is, without a doubt, the best CRPG I've ever played. Deep, great and epic, I don't even know how I would begin to describe the genius of this game, and it's even better now that you can combine BG1&2 into one big game.

[sub]A close second: Persona 4. A slightly further off (but still amazing) third: Torment.[/sub]

<-- Chrono Trigger, because Frog is probably the greatest character of all times, seriously, and his theme song... It still gives me goosebumps when I hear it.

Burnout Paradise- I can drive a supercar over 200 mph on a narrow city road, crash it, causing millions of dollars in damage, all while listening to Habanera from Carmen.

There is nothing more calming.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ... 'Nuff said...

I don't care about the mods really, I find it quite enjoyable without them. And the challenge with the weapons makes it all the more fun.

Devil May Cry

Not only was its gameplay lightyears ahead of what other action games were offering, but it delivered that gameplay alongside exquisite variety, fantastic atmosphere, a kickass soundtrack, genuinely intimidating enemies, and a protagonist unlike any I'd seen up to that point, a man who ventured into the deepest pits of hell with a smile on his face, a snarky comment on the tip of his tongue, and a suitcase full of whoopass about to be open.

I don't have a true favorite, since different games cover my various cravings for certain pallets [i.e. genres].
Here's some of my favorites;

My favorite...
Adventure game: The N64 Legend of Zelda games, Super Metroid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Shadow of the Colossus.
RPG: Final Fantasy VI & Persona 3
Shooter: Goldeneye
Brawler: Double Dragon II & Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Puzzle: Portal
Horror: Amnesia: The Dark Descent & Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Fighting: Blazblue & Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Good god, it's a tie between GENRES.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl -- Fighting. Great game, FREAKING AWESOME SOUNDTRACK. I get chills anytime I hear any stage playing. Even Green Hill Zone!

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil -- Platforming. Everyone should know who Klonoa is. He's awesome. Plus the game is amazing, in every aspect. Shame it doesn't have the audience it deserves.

F-Zero GX -- Racing. The game is so much fun to play: the one downside is its extremely notorious difficulty. If you've played it, you'll know what I mean.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance -- RPG. I loved it more than any other RPG I've ever played.

Can't think of any others currently...

But if I had to pick one, it would be Klonoa 2.
