Taxi Driver
The Exorcist
Alien
Some of the many Bond movies that are 30+ years old (can't be arsed to think of specific ones though.)

Star Wars trilogy.

How could I pick anything else?
Unfortunately, Return of the Jedi must be exempt since it came out in '83.

The Empire Strikes Back. Took an otherwise shallow revival of the high fantasy storyline and made it a genuine sci fi... That, and it introduced the Executor. That ship was awesome.

A brief selection;

Ingmar Bergman's Persona (1966).
Believe me when I say that there is no film like it.

Chris Marker's La Jetee (1962).
The inspiration for Terry Gilliam's "12 Monkeys".

Andrei Tarkovskij's Ivan's Childhood (1962).
A different kind of war film.

Carl Theodor Dreyer's The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928).
Featuring, what I consider to be, the single greatest performance by an actor in cinematic history.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
Since that's the only Star Wars movie which is over 30 years old.
[sup]Episode V will be 30 in May[/sup]

The Longest Day. Not only does it have a great plot, it also has every great actor of the time in it.

Actually, I am Legend and The Last Man Alive are based on a book called I am Legend.

I like a few. Can't really pick a favorite. Forgotten Planet, Dirty Dozen, The good, the bad and the ugly (and Fistful and Few Dollars more), The Maltese Falcon, Whatever happened to Baby Jane, Some like it hot... oh this list could go on and on, so I'll stop now.

The godfather, amazing :p the only film i can think ov off the top of me head :p
Ah, ninjaed! The Godfather is indeed a classic.

I'd also go with "The Great Escape" with Steve McQueen.
And when I think about it, Back to the Future is "only" 25 years old!
