Apocalypse Now. I don't know if I can really describe it as my favourite, but I watch it more than any other movie.

A real favourite could be Mad Max. Just a classic Mel Gibson revenge tale with fast cars, motorcycles, and the apocalypse.
Mel Gibson revenge tale?
Someone hasn't heard of The Punisher.
I have, not sure what it has to do with fact that Mel stars in a lot of revenge flicks.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly hands down. Honourable mention goes to 2001: A Space Odyssey, which comes in a hair's breadth behind the former, but despite the fact that I'm not really all that into the whole western thing (comes with not being American, I guess), that is just one damn good movie.

I know there's a lot to choose form, but I haven't seen much of it, so I'll just go with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

I think "The Last Man Alive" is over 30 years. I watched it last night and I've got to say it's better than I am Legend remake.
i am legend was based off the movie Omega Man with Charleton Heston which is a great movie Btw.
Actually, I am Legend and The Last Man Alive are based on a book called I am Legend.
The book I am Legend was the inspiration for all three films; 1971's Omega Man, 1964's The Last Man on Earth, and 2007's I Am Legend.

Arsenic and Old Lace by a mile! Not even Godfather, Godfather Part 2, or Star Wars are close. Cary Grant's overacting and the ridiculous story combine to make a film that is still deserving of its lasting fame. If you have not seen this movie, I urge you to remedy that; it's a true comedy classic, a gem that shines brighter than the crap that plays today.

This might seem like a slightly random list but I'm the type of person who likes all movies:
Casablanca
Bela Lugosi's Dracula
Game of Death
Rashomon

Raiders of the Lost Ark is two weeks away from its 30th birthday. As of now, my answer is Casablanca followed by Arsenic and Old Lace, but in two weeks it absolutely becomes the first Indiana Jones movie. God, what a classic!

The Great Escape... Greatest movie ever in my opinion. Plus Steve McQueen chases himself on a motorcycle XD

This is an old thread...

OT: The Matrix is more than twenty years old, but not yet thirty. I guess 2001, a great movie.

EDIT: Fuck, this is old, I posted on here last year and had the same answer: Alien or 2001. Look at the top of the page, there is my post xD
