Does anime count? If so, Paranois Agent, if not, the one that everyone knew was going to be brought up just by reading the title of this thread.

That would be Friends. I had watched that series countless times and I never get bored of it.

Futurama is my favourite show of all time. I wish they would make more episodes, but 13 this year only, and 13 next :-( Hope they pick up! Nothing matches Futurama in any other medium or genre for its wit, creativity and sheer entertainment and fun. Anyone who disagrees can kiss my shiny, metal ass!

Other than that, QI is a simply brilliant, every show, without fail. I can't stress enough how good it is. Top Gear (UK) is great too.

I also like Dexter, Big Bang Theory which will restart in a week, looking forward to Game of Thrones picking up again next year, thoroughly enjoyed 24 and Smallville while they were on, Legend of the Seeker (deceased before its time) & House MD. Enjoyable but they all ended naturally.

But some phenomenal shows I can rewatch and wish for more of but are sadly relegated to the past:
Battlestar Galactica
Blackadder
Fawlty Towers
Columbo
Extras

One last mention for an unsung show I adore is "Death in Paradise" starring Ben Miller as a British detective sent to work in the Carribean. Murder mystery, with bits of comedy, great storytelling and characters (including Cat from Red Dwarf). His character is fun to watch and it's always a great game to try and solve the murder before him (they do give enough information), though I didn't manage it even once in the first series :-(

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've lost track of how many times I've watched the entire 7 seasons on DVD one episode after another. Firefly is a close second, might have won out if it hadn't had such a short life.

Favorite sitcom, MASH. Honorable mentions to Night Court and Cheers.

And for animation, it's a tossup between Futurama and The Venture Bros.

Got to be Doctor Who, for both. Are all the episodes good? Certainly not. Still, it played a large part of my childhood and and I still find it a lot of fun to watch.

The early days of Survivor were the best. Lots of memorable moments to recall.

As far as cartoons go, Ed, Edd, and Eddy was, and still is, my favorite.

Anyway, The Walking Dead is a show that's got me hooked at the moment. Season 3, season 3...

Yay for love for Sir Humphrey!

Also, do you mean something about... pride...
About the first bit... gotta give props to Nigel Hawthorne, brilliant actor in those series.

About the second bit... yes... yes, I do... -_- I rather irrationally enjoy the mush that is that mini-series...
It's quite amazing how in one sentence I was able to have so much respect for you and then in the second you throw it all away like it's worthless :D

By this I mean I do see that there is a real dilemma here. In that, while it has been my policy to regard policy regarding tastes as a responsibility of my own and your personal tastes as a responsibility of your own, the questions of your personal tastes and the policy you hold can cause confusion between the policy of my own and the administration of your own policy, especially when responsibility for the administration of the policy of our policies regarding policies involving tastes conflict, or overlaps with, responsibility for the policy of the personal tastes of policy regards to our personal tastes.

I don't think I can choose just one, but a few of my favorites are Tom and Jerry, Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote (as well as the rest of the Looney Tunes), and Johnny Bravo.

As far as those currently airing, I like Gravity Falls, Friendship is Magic, and the Fairly Odd Parents.

I just really have a thing for cartoons, I guess.

My favourite show is and probably always will be Lost just because I really connected with everything about that show, from the deeply explored characters, to the mythology of the Island and obviously the great action and adventure. Some of my other favourite shows are:
Breaking Bad
Community
Scrubs
How I Met Your Mother
South Park

And that's not including anime.

Definitely ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.
That show was pretty damn perfect, every episode hilarious and genius! Really excited to see it to come back, if that does happen.

What is your favorite TV show of all time?
And what is your favorite TV show currently airing?

I would have to go with Stargate SG-1. I have had the most fun watching that.

The most recent awesome series would be House M.D. and I don't even normally like hospital dramas. But House has been canceled. So, my current favorite is The Big Bang Theory. It's a very fun little show.
Hey it's you again, how weird, the last thread I randomly picked to write in, you also OPd, well you know what they say, great minds think alike, must also apply to us two lesser minds as well ;).

Also what? No poll? :p

I would have to say Star Trek (TOS, though just saying 'Star Trek' alone should imply that), is my favourite show of all time, cannot think of anything that comes close to achieving all of the things this show does for me.

Currently airing, much tougher choice, Curb Your Enthusiasm still on the air? No? Hmm, GOT but its a little cliche, Boss probably (starring Kelsey Grammar).

Captcha:yes, ma'am

what's my favorite TV show of all time? why don't you just ask me to name the best hair on my head? I can't answer that question lol.....I suppose just because I've loved it for so long I'd have to say Red Dwarf is my favorite show of all time, currently airing, I'll go with Game of Thrones, it counts if it's between seasons right?
