by that i mean your desk/ loungeroom./.the place where you game..how is it set up? whats your Ideal set up?

first I had my PS3 in the lougeroom...decent sized TV and a beanbag..so unlike before I could see everything..I also have a set of gaming headphones for sound..

because when it comes to gaming I like to be able to devote my full attention to it and dont like other people around..

except now (because my life has turned into a sitcom and I have family staying over) Ive moved the PS3 into my room (is it ok to stand it sideways? or is "flat" better?)

its on my TV which is pretty small but HDMI and everythg..I have it next to my bed and sit on my desk chair (usually with legs propped up on my bed) to play

except Im begining to notice the differene in image between my TV and the one in the loungeroom which is really annoying me (plus its size...sure I can read the text....but Its still small)

Mine is the average living room. Nothing fancy, although I do have a seat I always sit on. Heck my T.V. is still SD!

it looked like shit..to put it as nicly as possible..blurry and just..muddy

I supose once you experince HD you cant go back (hence me finding myTV a little less than perfect)

Laptop on a desk littered with classic literature and a mouse that bangs against the graphics tablet every time a drastic movement is undertaken. While fighting dragons this tends to be a perpetual occurrence.

Living room with a crappy SD TV and a whole bunch of DVD player relics hooked up that makes the back of the Tv look like a jungle of cords. A broken cabinet where I keep all my games and stacks of old VHS and DVD films.

I do have a really comfy couch though.

DVD's arnt exactally relics...not quite yet, to be honest the quality isnt a "huge" differece (depending on your set up of coarse)

plus theres the backwards compatibility

I'm in college, so my gaming space is the common room I share with my roommates. Its nice, because we all contributed so we have a sizable TV, a comfortable couch, 360 and Wii (for Smash Bros).

Back at home, my gaming space was referred to by my mother as "my office" and was a more comfortable couch, a larger TV, and even a cushioned coffee table, so my feet are comfortable when I prop them up.

Yeah I know what you mean, but these particular DVD players are the fat, black coloured ones back when it was "OMG DVD!!!".

Im probably too much of a wo'man-child but I would hate the Idea of having to "share" my game space...I want to be able to game when ever I want...

I guess thats why I would favor PC in some cases :p

then again I supose oyu have more important things to do rather than game 24/7 (unlike some of us)

Used to play on my bros PS3, which had a really comfy lounge and big HDTV, and it was pretty isolated. Now I got a 360, which goes downstairs with a smaller SDTV and everyone can hear everything I say. Also, if my mum is around I am forced to mute the sound, she "Can't stand the shooting." Hoping to get headset soon.

We manage to share it without too much difficulty. But it also has its benefits. We all played through Dark Souls and would help each other out and laugh when we died.

Got one of the bedrooms converted to a "media room". Two highbacked chairs in one corner, a 56" DLP tv hooked to the PS3 in the other. On Either side are metal shelves working as bookcases for a library encompassing reference, art, military history, the japanese language, and JTHM.

that and I guess "in-room"/splitscreen multiplayer would be fun...

again thats just me...I start noticing thease things..if somthings not quite right in my head its like "IM NOT GETTING THE OPITIMUM EXPERIENCE!!!"...

at least iwth my laptop is was simple..(mouse headphones good to go) but console gaming just gets complicated, especially when you add others to the mix....

but no, Im not actually as crazy as I sound

Mine's my room. Bed's facing the TV, got my noise cancelling headphones with an extension thingy so they reach from the bed to the TV.
I've got my entertainment system set up with all 3 current gen systems connected to my TV.

I just select the system, pop in a game, turn on the headphones, fluff the pillows and I'm in my happy place.

Got my PC seperated in my hobby room because i'm also into homerecording and all the additional stuff needs to be accessible.
PS3, 360 and Wii are in the living room, next to my Samsung 42" LED TV and BOSE 5.1 system.

I guess Xbox 360 was the right choice then ;). I played Black Ops on an HD T.V. and it looked nice but it didn't look too flash. My only real complaint is the lack of bold text. I couldn't read jack in Arkham Asylum. Vanquish is the only game that had this option >.>.

Its winter in Maine, and Im poor, so I do most of my living in a single room. Iv got a couch, a TV, a pellet stove, a small exercise bench, some dumb bells, and my gaming area. My gaming area is a 8x2 foldable table with my monitor, keyboard, mouse, coffee maker, desk lamp, speakers, and some random junk. There's a shelf on the wall large enough to fit my monolithic gaming PC, my old PC which just functions as a porn box, and a little rack for my modem and router which gives them room to breathe. I like having a lot of space. I can rest my arms on the table so my wrists don't start to ache.

I'm 17 and live in a house with a bunch of people who talk non-stop.

My Gaming rig is set up in two different places: My chair and my consols downstairs when I'm willing to play in front of people who can't be quiet, and my M14x (which I bought myself with money I earned) in my bedroom for when I can't stand the noise any more...

Admittedly I love my family, and love to listen to them, but when I'm gaming the last thing I want to hear about is my mother repeating herself over and over while trying to register online for college next semester instead of simply asking a counselor, her parakeet next to me screeching in my ear, and my little brother screeching in my other ear about everything I just did 5 times in a row.

Hence why even though I'd prefer to be up during the day, I'm a late-night gamer to avoid it all.

My ideal setting? That room late at night when the birds are covered up and everyone else is asleep. That and weekends when my lil bro/sis are over at my dad's house.
