I don't eat anything if i'm playing a game. If i want something to eat i'll turn off the console and go and eat something, so i don't have a "Gaming snack"

When I'm playing something serious (Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, etc.) I usually bring a cup of coffee.
If I'm playing something silly/mindlessly fun (Duke Nukem, Painkiller, Doom, etc.), I prefer some sort of lighthearted snack food.

HUMAN SOULS
I have a feeling this happened while playing mortal kombat online as Shung tsung. NOM NOM NOM SOULZ!

I don't tend to eat while gaming, but if I do, it'd probably be popcorn.

I was wondering that too, I felt the other guy was more inflammatory to be honest. But they patched it up eventually anyway.

It's just one of those things. Mod works in mysterious ways, it is not the lot of man to question Them.
turns out he made a second comment raging about nothing, thats why he got suspended.

"mod works in mysterious ways" Made me laugh :D

I eat food like a regular person. Anyone who refers to the food they eat during video games as a 'gaming snack' is an insufferable 'games are a lifestyle' idiot.
wow...that was rude...and unnecessary to say the least, you could of been nice about it. going by your logic im one of these "idiots" that you claim many of people to be. im sorry, but what was basically said was "whats your preferred food to eat while playing video games". it means the same thing, its just faster and less of a mouthful to say "gaming snack/food/whatever".

and sadly you dont know this person, and neither do i so how can you judge how someone is just from one topic? when people do this it makes them look like trolls, sadly, more then anything...

I like to amuse myself with wordplay. :)

Yeah, I saw the reply, I still felt it was less inflammatory.

I don't really have the time to eat while gaming. The most I usually have besides me is a bottle of fruit juice.

Hmm. I don't know. If I'm having a proper gaming session planned in advance I may get some cans of coke, and maybe some Tesco Cheese balls for a nibble. Though usually if I'm really into a game I don't eat while playing. I stop and have lunch or dinner (depending on the time).

I do, however, have a wide selection of Gaming themed sweets on my desk in the shape of Pac-Man power pellets, Ghosts, Mushrooms (both red and green), Stars, Coins, and Playstation symbols (in a PSP shaped box). I may have one of those every so often.

This.
And if I'm really hungry and it's at least 2 hours before a main meal, I'll just have some toast.

Bah! People need to learn to quote! But yeah, you said you didn't like root bear, or A&W cream soda I'll assume, and not liking either of those is a crime of the same degree as practicing witchcraft!
first off, not sure how that happened in my quoting.

secondly, well then call me Harry Frakkin' Potter because I put cream soda (any kind, regardless of brand) so far at the bottom of my list, that it jumped off the paper and into the newly created 666th circle of hell.

When I'm gaming I usually like to eat pretzels or pop tarts. I might be weird but I usually tend to eat cheese curls when I am not gaming. I sometimes do eat cheese curls while gaming but I get really upset at myself when I do because my controller is all slippery. xD

Hybrid cherries. They work really really well with the KOTOR games, since I can just listen to the dialouge while I aim to spit the pits out.

My snack of choice is usually Dorito's, but if I am visiting my brother and using his PS3 controller he freaks out if I get Dorito dust on his controller, so I eat blueberries or grapes instead. I will also eat fruit when I play games or when I am on the computer when I am on a bit of a health kick.

Lately I've been eating a lot of dry roasted peanuts because they're relatively filling and not particularly greasy, but I'll probably be switching to almonds soon -- they're both healthier and tastier. I also occasionally make some home made trail mix when I've got raisins and sunflower seeds to go with the nuts. That said, I'm not talking about sitting and eating the whole jar -- just a small dish of them, roughly equivalent to a good sized handfull.

Edit: And it's not something I eat all the time while gaming. It's just a convenient snack if I'm hungry, gaming, and still waiting for dinner to cook. For that matter, it's a convenient snack at any time between meals, but most of the other snack food I have isn't conducive to keeping my mouse and keyboard from getting sticky, so the nuts are really the best snack I've got for gaming. They don't have a crumb problem, either.

Cashews. I fucking love cashews.
I love them as well. The problem is they are insanely expensive.

The cheapest I have found them is when I buy an off brand of them at a CVS pharmacy near me. I get a two cans for seven dollars deal. It really makes no sense to buy the major name brands, when every cashew I have had no matter the brand, has tasted the same.

But still, even when getting them cheap, they are expensive, since I practically inhale them. I finished my last two cans in less then a week.
Cans? *Checks location* Ah, that explains it. I guess they're fairly cheap here in Oz, I buy them for $12/kg (under $5 a pound for you) from my butcher.
