I find it slightly amusing. I was brought up on the SNES, then N64 and Playstation, then I had a PC of my own, then Gamecube, then XBox 360 and Wii (on the fiancee's request - but I didn't begrudge her).
Point is, I don't care about the flame wars. I love how people get so up tight about it. It's a game you're playing after all. Personally, having grown up on them, I prefer playing a game with a controller and perhaps I've never had a controller that was up to scratch with the PC or the PC was just not good enough, but I find there is a lag with PC controllers.
Saying that, I wouldn't dream of playing Populous 2, Sim City or other games on anything on the PC. I got to level 50 on City of Heroes and that is the only game I would have preferred a reactive controller but I did pretty well with a keyboard and mouse.
Between consoles? It's between the XBox360 and PS3, isn't it? Giving it fair credit, the Wii is a great console, with tons of pointless games for niche markets and thousands of games for kids which would probably only otherwise be suited to PC. But the Wii doesn't appeal to single, friendless people or serious gamers unless they were previous hardcore Nintendo fans.
I haven't bought a PS3 on the basis that it was more expensive and my TV wouldn't show a difference with Blu Ray tech. I basically bought the XBox for Fable 2 (and played Fable afterwards) and have gone on from there. None of the PS3 exclusive games have really made me wee myself with joy and I don't pay for the Live subscription so that isn't an issue.
I did play LittleBigPlanet 2 but I just felt like I was playing loads of mini games and every other game my friend owned was available courtesy of Microsoft.
I really have no loyalty. I just went with what was cheaper, because I'm not a little rich kid where daddy can buy everything and I'm not yet rich enough to afford all the consoles for any whims. That's given my circumstances with already owning two consoles. If you're a die hard PS fan, I have no qualms.
